I worked at CareSource (Ohio) full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Nice offices, a few leaders still care and there’s a cafeteria onsite if you’re at HQ.

    Cons

It used to be a great place to work. Now CareSource has grown too fast for its own good. There are too few people actually doing the work with a top heavy executive layer. They are out of touch with front line issues and get rid of long time, high performing employees in favor of cheaper (less competent) substitutes. People hate working here but need a job. Think twice and look past the pie-in-the-sky pitch you’ll hear while interviewing. Pam Morris is totally out of touch and surrounds herself with “yes men”, the senior team lives in fear of her and nothing innovative or positive happens as a result.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the executive team, hire people who are engaged with the areas they supposedly lead and replace Pam Morris with someone less autocratic and arbitrary.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to prioritize and don't lead by committee.

    Pros

You can get bonus. It’s a job. People are nice. You can have growth in the company if you’re an RN.

    Cons

Low pay for a lot of work. Benefits are very expensive & went up $30 from last year. Uneven low pay.

    Pros

Flat organization and many skilled and talented people

    Cons

The Dayton area is limited in talent and small market, so the pool of skilled resources is small.

I have been working at CareSource (Ohio) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The cafeteria is neat but that's it. Please read my advice.

    Cons

The food options are worst. The food varieties they serve is like 1950 model.
The Pizza they make is so hard to Chew and burgers they make are like a paste.
The Quantity they are giving from last 3 months is very less. I am paying daily at least $6 and eating half stomach.
This is winter time and it's too cold outside to go. The location is bad and there are no good restaurants nearby. If there are any good restaurants nearby walkable distance this Cafeteria could have got closed long back. They are taking that as an advantage. The food quantity they are serving will not be sufficient to several people.

    Advice to Management

I honestly suggest getting a feedback on food options at our Cafeteria from all employees.

I have been working at CareSource (Ohio) full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Plenty of available shifts to choose from. You don’t work past 7 pm. They have started to offer 10 hour shifts. You will get 40 hours every week. There is definitely room for growth.

    Cons

The training is unorganized, you have to wait 9 months to move up or change departments. The pay isn’t as great as other companies. And because there is not a wide range of hours it is hard to do overtime like other call centers so your paycheck will be relatively the same every time.
