I have been working at CareSource (Ohio) full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Beautiful buildings and paid parking. Healthy food options and workout facilities. Many long term employees throughout the company. Some of the best leaders I have ever worked with. This organization remains totally committed to the mission of serving our members. Working from home is the best!

    Cons

Pace is too fast which is the rule not the exception. Can be very hard to keep up! HR business partners are helpful as are upper management staff but everyone is so busy!

    Advice to Management

Don’t be discouraged by poor reviews! The good employees are not complaining anonymously on social media. We are enjoying our bonus and great benefits and the pride of what our CEO and our company has done for the city of Dayton and our members.

I worked at CareSource (Ohio) full-time

    Pros

    Awesome team, culture, frontline leadership.

    Cons

Pay should be about 10-15% higher based on the information I have gotten from other colleagues in the industry doing the same thing.
In defense, This is a “non-prophet organization”.

I have been working at CareSource (Ohio) full-time

    Pros

The work environment can fast paced depending on what you do or what department you work for but I enjoy the people and the business casual dress code

    Cons

They hire a lot of temps and when they hire them they get most of the senior positions which makes it tough for full timers to get promoted.

I have been working at CareSource (Ohio) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

4 weeks vacation your first year, incentive bonuses

    Cons

Low pay for the amount of work you are expected to do.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to focus more on servicing the needs our members rather than inundating callers with account alerts, surveys, and scripted verbiage.

I worked at CareSource (Ohio) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work from home is an option. There is a workout facility on site.

    Cons

Director is difficult to work for as her inconsistencies in her delivering of information is not clear and she is wishy washy which makes it impossible to work with confidence. There is a vibe in the workplace under her direction that you will be ‘let go’ if you don’t measure up. That is concerning as it is challenging to know what she is measuring when her information and guidance (lack thereof) is so inconsistent. This makes for a stressful environment that isn’t necessary.

    Advice to Management

Consider discussing the logistics center directors leadership style and encourage a more positive work force environment.

    Pros

Great Company you get 6 hours of PTO every 2 week ( pay Period). You get company lap tops and can choose to work from home, cube share, or come in office full time. The CEO really cares and the company throws a summer party and Christmas party even year

    Cons

The entry level pay is ok. 30,000 is what I started at. Moving upwards is hard and there isn't much room for negotiate pay. They don't take education into account when getting into a position only experience.

I have been working at CareSource (Ohio) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

woneerful coworkers, competetive pay, leadership with a passion for inspiring and empowering, clearing on future planning from our new CEO

    Cons

Change is hard to embrace when it’s happening so quickly. We run on thinly staffed teams but we’re looking to grow allowing efficiency in our teams rather than just task checking

    Advice to Management

Listen to your teams members. Rounding/shadowing to see what work is expected in their day to day lives.

I worked at CareSource (Ohio) full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fast-paced, good career experience and internal opportunities, very good pay and benefits.

    Cons

Disorganized, dangerously outdated back office systems, left-hand and right hand not knowing what each is doing, always behind the ball and playing catch up, all stemming from huge demand for business & exploding, almost unmanageable growth in past 7 years. High stress, sometimes outrageous deadlines, limitless work.

    Advice to Management

Stop soliciting more markets, take a breath, fix the internal systems and databases and software, train the people you already have. Quality is slipping dangerously and administrative margins have become too high.
