I have been working at Career Teachers full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Love the kids they make coming to work fun. Some people have the right ideas - they provide diversity for both the students and the teachers, address learning style and in general teacher children with a passion to learning that will stay with it for a lifetime.

    Cons

Upper management has all these new ways of doing things to raise scores but when you look at data scores are dropping and so is student engagement

    Advice to Management

Focus on something other than tests that will make you look good and do right by the kids

  3. "Rude"

    Pros

the pay is quite high relative to other agencies

    Cons

extremely rude, blunt. act as though they are doing you a favor by placing you in schools and not a joint relationship, in which you are actually adding to the revenue of the phone.

dishonest. will attempt to place you on the payroll of an umbrella company to avoid paying employers NI. payment through an umbrella company means you pay for Employers Ni as well as your own

relecutant to tell you the day rate

    Advice to Management

listen to the needs of you clients: the teachers; and be respectful when they have queries

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Schools all over London, lots of exposure to different types of schools, lots if work

    Cons

They will tell you what you want to hear to get you to sign up with them. Not a personal experience. Will send you all over the city with huge travel time.

    Advice to Management

Focus on building strong relationships with teachers as opposed to just getting lots of them to sign up.
