Pros

So far am experiencing a phenomenal culture at work, impeccably organized, thorough training, friendly and very welcoming people. Pay is the best I’ve come across for an extra level recruiter. 48k base plus commission (not sure how much commission yet). Work expectation is typical 8 hour day (at least at my level), not insane hours!!

Cons

Have not experienced any cons yet. I have noticed some coworkers talking about how the company is growing very fast and it’s hard to keep up, but that’s a good problem to have.

Pros

- Supportive environment and onboarding/training is well structured - Supervisors are responsive and available (probably depends on your team) - Remote! - Great benefits - Everyone I've met has been authentically kind (and not in a fake way) - On my team, everyone helps each other and there's always someone available if I have questions - Upper leadership seems to advocate for their staff and there seems to be a lot of within company movement and promotions

Cons

The only real con I can think of so far is that the hours are pretty long and inflexible. You have an hour for lunch, but most places I've worked, they let you "work through" lunch and work a schedule like 9-5 or 8-4 (instead of doing 9-6 or 8-5 with an hour lunch).

Management discriminates. Ridiculous hours expected of you. You MIGHT get to do what you were hired to do.

Weekly pay, flexible hours, great and supportive team culture, and supportive account managers. It's a good place to learn the industry at the beginning of your career, or refresh your skills if returning to the industry.

The pay and the long wait to receive benefits are not competitive. They make decisions and don't think them through very well. They make company announcements to the workforce that leaves everyone feeling on edge and having questions about their job security. The ATS system could be more up to date. You will end up recruiting more CNAs than LPNs and RNs, unless you are an Administrative Recruiter. This results in lower commissions. They don't consider your time zone when assigning you to territories, which results in poor work/life balance. They assign you to remote territories with almost half of your centers in low populated areas and expect you to find water in a desert. You're suppose to get access to Indeed after 30 days of employment, but it never happens, even though your manager says they have put in a request for it. Thank you for giving me a place to refresh my skills, but it's time for me to move on to recruiting in regions with a more robust talent pool, and higher compensation.

Pros

The bonus structure at CareerStaff is really good.... it starts a little lowish, but as you increase the number of active placements, your bonus percent increases. Good encouragement to keep working hard!

Cons

The starting pay is not great, but the bonuses make up for it. The hours can be long to get to where you want to be. There seems to be very little "team spirit", and the leadership only cares about bottom line numbers. But hard work will pay off!
