Unorganized, unfair no real opportunity for growth. Offices are pit against each other

      Pros

They don't mind if you don't make quota. They don't have any. As long as you do some work they're ok with it. But then you never get anywhere!

      Cons

So many! They have favorites. They place their nurses in horrible nursing homes and do nothing if the management in the nursing home mistreats the nurses. If the recruiter tries to advocate for the nurse, management quiets that down asap. By either terminating the employee or humiliating them in team meetings. Territories . it's offices fight as to whom gets to place a nurse in a contract (situational) They always blame instead of trying to figure out why the process doesn't work! They pay their nurses pebbles compared to other agencies. Benefits are horrible! If a nurse or employee chooses healthcare benefits they terminate them because it costs them too much money. Each office manager bonuses according to EBIDA which includes overhead and cost of employing their employees. ie who or how many recruiters carry health benefits and if they also have their family/ children on those benefits. If they do....those office employees are terminated. Nurses on contract really do not get benefits. If they select benefits their pay is deducted. That's why one of their first questions to nurses, PT, OT's SLPs (all their contractors) is "are you looking for healthcare benefits? Ours are great!" but then if they say yes, their pay is reduced significantly. (the contractor never knows this of coarse) If the contractor says no initially but then selects benefits after hire, their contract is cancelled. Horrible!

      Pros

My team is great! We are constantly supported by management and upper leadership and are always encouraged to use PTO. Great work/life balance and upcoming paid holidays! We've switched up the advancement program for quicker and easier promotion - your performance will literally speak for itself!

      Cons

I don't have any for now

      Pros

It’s a job and its horrible

      Cons

Payroll has to be done by the recruiters every Monday. Chasing people down every week sucks and makes you look unprofessional. Process should be automated Hiring process is outdated and it looks tacky. Credentialing team sends candidates long emails for them to complete and it takes forever. Recruiters have to manually put in everything for candidates and it will eat up your time. Advice to company- create an app thats user friendly, CTM SUCKS!, have the candidates upload all the necessary documents in the app by taking pictures. Shouldn’t take longer than 15 mins as opposed to hours. The hiring process is from the 90’s. Its gross. Payroll and IT are short staffed as the company is going under. Nurses do not get paid on time. Nurses are paid average or below market value. Recruiters are constantly looking for a sucker to get. Benefits are offered to nurses after 60 days. It should be day 1 to be competitive. No ability to change rates for candidates to stay competitive. Management does not listen to advice from recruiters. Why constantly take water out the boat with buckets when you can repair the hole? Use this place as a stepping stone and thats it.

      Pros

Good company for those who are already familiar with local recruiting and per diem work. Everyone is friendly and will definitely help you out.

      Cons

Not so great for people who are new to recruiting but not impossible. Success does depend on what your focus area is and the turn over of your specific office. Also Training in general is just the basics but nothing in depth nor specific to your region.

      MUCH Caution!!!

Oct 29, 2021 - Healthcare Recruiter in Grand Rapids, MI
      Recommend

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Decent pay $40k starting with no experience to $50k, work from home, all computer equipment provided. Really good sick leave and PTO. Great position in general if enjoy helping others and connecting with clinicians. Can be rewarding. Nationwide offices so it’s nice to connect with other colleagues, collaborate and grow. New recruiter structure so you can advance from recruiter to recruiter 2 and then senior recruiter VS only one senior recruiter per office. Corporate human services is great and takes confidentiality very seriously and allow you to express your concerns in a safe space. They see they are loosing staff and they are trying to find ways to keep staff. Problem is more on a lower management level VS corporate. They have a cool internal employee recognition system you can gift others and eventually cash out those points for gifts cards or items - many options to choose from. Getting time off is easy. They do offer medical, dental, vision but it’s super expensive and little coverage. 401k is offered but no matching from company.

      Cons

Management promises and delivers the opposite. Promise schedule flexibility but it’s not there. Want your pay or personal information, or the reason you were terminated or quit the company confidential or reason you are out for the day private??? - don’t come here. Everytime someone is fired - it’s broadcast to the entire office why in detail by management in the office meeting - TOXIC!!! ALL internal employees desired wage for GR office made known to entire office - displayed in a public forum for all to see. Management has an it’s their way or high way approach because it worked for them in the past, despite it costing the office revenue. Unwilling to do different approaches that has been proven by other offices in the Midwest region. Your personal goals are set and then changed a week later or anytime without notice by management. Extremely high expectations with little support or guidance on how to reach those expectations. The Grand Rapids office has VERY high turn over compared to other offices. In a 6 month span: 2 people have quit and 6 people have been fired (approx. 11 total internal office positions). The last person fired xx: their replacement had already been interviewed and offered the position almost 2 weeks prior to xx being fired (only one position of that kind in the office).
