      Pros

      Good products! It's a job.

      Cons

They cap sales professionals. Upper Management (CEO) feels no sales person should earn anywhere close to him! Very poor internal processes.

      Advice to Management

Get a new CEO. Remove commission caps for sales people as you are de-motivating them! Open your eyes.

I have been working at Carestream Health full-time for more than 6 years

      Pros

Carestream is profitable, makes good products, most of the people you work with are good hard working, dedicated employees.

      Cons

Management is often only interested in metrics. Senior executives that I know have terminate excellent dedicated employees when there is a need to cover mistakes.

      Advice to Management

Good leadership isn't all about finance and marketing.

I have been working at Carestream Health full-time for more than 6 years

      Pros

Good products. Most colleagues are great but some of the best have already left.

      Cons

Many intelligent and hardworking people have left or were cut 3 years ago in my division. Now we have even more middle managers and less people actually doing the real work. They all come up with "new ways of doing things" which are actually the same "new ways of doing things" six years previously that didn't work. Nit picking over time consuming non value producing activities makes work even more burdensome and less...

      Advice to Management

Too many managers and not enough workers. Management should be trained on how to motivate their workers by appreciation and understanding of what they bring to the table. A mediocre evaluation because of forced curve is damaging to morale.

I have been working at Carestream Health

        Pros

Solid global company. Good products with steady income. Workforce is competent and supportive. The workforce is older so there will be opportunities for competent people in the near future as they retire. Medical is a great and steady place to work. Seeing your product used on sick patients especially children is inspiring. Management realizes the 10% culling is no longer productive so that has stopped. Yes people still...

        Cons

Terrible facilities. We work in a converted warehouse with no windows and 1980's furniture. Roof leaks and no budget to update. Very few young workers. The regulatory group is completely out of control from the top corporate lawyer down. This creates a lot of frustrating unnecessary paperwork.

        Advice to Management

Fix your regulatory by replacing the completely unreasonable people you have in place. Make the facilities (214) a nice place to work. We are not asking for a tiki bar, just ergonomic furniture and a more pleasing environment. Update the conference rooms. They are embarrassing.

I have been working at Carestream Health full-time for more than 9 years

        Pros

Great people, good products. Strong research and development teams. Carestream pays well. Aggressive sales and marketing. Getting stronger in the market

        Cons

Too many tasks to ask of one person. We usually lack qualified people to actually implement the products. Insurance is really bad. Executive leadership seems to be blind to the mistakes of mid level management.

        Advice to Management

Hire more technical and clinical SMEs, less management. We have become very top heavy in the last 2 years

Good front line people. Some good products.

        Cons

Senior Managers starting with the CEO that berate people, yell and generally are disrespectful.

        Advice to Management

Advice to the Board - The CEO and his Team must be looked at. They are scaring away good people.

I worked at Carestream Health full-time for more than 6 years

        Pros

Have talent people and good products

        Cons

Terrible management and leadership team. The whole company is in a messy and everyday is like a "ready to be sold" situation. With useless HR leaders transferring from Logistics without HR knowledge/experience and making company a real mass. No team work and didn't feel there is a company culture.

        Advice to Management

Get someone who can drive the business and who can lead. Choose someone who is capable instead of serving company long..
