I have been working at Cargill Canada full-time

    Pros

Good benefits, pension and RRSP plan, diversity and equality, great chance at progressing in the company. Fairly good job security.

    Cons

Merit reviews twice a year instead of once. Way too many changes all the time within the company.

    Advice to Management

Focus on those who are hard workers and reward them. I work my butt off and am treated no different than a coworker who could care less about work.

I have been working at Cargill Canada full-time

    Pros

Excellent reception, great support, do not feel intimidated. Cargill has a great support system, ask and you shall receive. Great for a new employee.

    Cons

Archaic computer system and limited "talking" between systems. Lots of middle management, I have at least 4 bosses a just at my location.

    Advice to Management

Focus on a few things that Cargill can do well. Too much activity and projects can confuse employees. Keep the priorities clear and concise along with clear goals and expectations.

I have been working at Cargill Canada full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Company has always looked after me well with great benefits and fair pay and I have always been treated well with them

    Cons

It is a big company and at times they seem to be slow in making decisions. The decisions always get made it would just be nice if they could be made closer to the customer

    Advice to Management

If more decision making power could be put closer to the customer it would be beneficial to all. Faster decisions closer to the customer result in happier customers

I have been working at Cargill Canada full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I have worked for Cargill full time for over 5 years. I have had the opportunity to transfer to different jobs but Cargill is Cargill wherever you go in the company. Pro: good health benefits.

    Cons

No work/life balance. They will take over your life if you let them. Pay less than other major companies. Management does not understand the area they are in charge of.
