    I worked at Cargill full-time

    Pros

Great people, good salary in a small Midwestern town.

    Cons

Rurel area, they shut down the DSM Facility.

    Advice to Management

Growth and Expansion should be the goal with DSM gone now.

I have been working at Cargill as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great one-on-one training daily to learn the business. Additionally, they flew me around the country to visit other parts of the Cargill businesses.

    Cons

Offered me a job in a location that was undesirable after completing the internship

    I worked at Cargill full-time

    Pros

Awesome management that seriously cares about their effects on the world. It was nice to see this as a young man in the meetings. Got sort of tired of people telling me it was some "evil corporation" when all I saw was honest, hardworking people. Things that happened in the field were taken very seriously as well.
    Interns were treated like kings.

    Cons

SLOOOWWWWWWW moving on any sort of action. Frustrating.

I worked at Cargill full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I spent 37 years at Cargill and have great things to say about this company. The salary, benefits, 401k were comparable to the marketplace. I had the opportunity to live in places from Louisville, KY to Modesto, CA to San Antonio, TX. Unfortunately, in the latest company transition, my position was eliminated and the work moved overseas. Otherwise, my plan was to retire with Cargill.

    Cons

With a combination of transitions being done simultaneously (Financial, HR, IT, etc.) and many strong employees leaving the company due to these transitions, there was confusion concerning the optimal path to accomplish daily duties.

I have been working at Cargill full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Flexible workplace arrangement-enjoy working from home whenever my schedule allows; CEO-Supports Inclusion & Diversity; The people and culture; Family owned global business

    Cons

They tell you to be innovative, but innovative to leadership's timeline; Middle Management plays to the internal political landscape and status quo; Cargill needs more middle management ( i.e. Advisor/Manager I to Sr Advisor/Manager II population) risk takers.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the subject matter experts. SMEs guidance, suggestions, adivice, etc. should hold more value then middle management's opinions. Listen to the ones actually doing the work everyday.
