    Pros

This was my first job, and there's only been one job since then that I loved as much as working here! Management was kind and helpful and taught me a lot and the other employees were good friends to me as well.

    Cons

Sometimes I was required to work holidays, I was disappointed when I couldn't come back and work here for my second Christmas break from university.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time in the stores so you know what it's actually like to be an employee, and have that survey go out more than once per year.

I have been working at Caribou Coffee full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits for young adults. 30% discount on all store products, and a free half pound of coffee every week.

    Cons

Minimum wage job, and hours are variable per week.

    Advice to Management

Schedules need to be done much quicker; I often don't find that I'm working a day until a couple days beforehand.

I have been working at Caribou Coffee part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great people ... awesome customers

    Cons

Allow a lot of favortism and allow other employees to treat others like they are stupid and will purposefully make jokes and steal from cash drawers and try to get you fired if they do not like you .

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone equally and cross train cashiers to make coffee and be able to talk to someone like they are human not like they are stupid . Honor values and learn that not all disabilities are visible . I have a learning disability and memory loss along with some hearing loss as well and I've been made to feel like I am stupid.

    Pros

Caribou offers great perks to coffee lovers like a free drink when you work and free coffee beans. Forming relationships with regular customers is rewarding.

    Cons

The company doesn't seem to appreciate its employees, particularly in busy stores. There is no enforcement of breaks, sometimes you aren't even able to go to the bathroom because staffing is so short.

    Advice to Management

Give more basic respect to your employees and make sure you allow management to have enough staff to work on busy days. Workers aren't even given basic rights sometimes like breaks. Corporate is doing a great job pushing customers to stores but as the company grows, it's staffing doesn't and strains current employees further and further.

I have been working at Caribou Coffee full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

High energy environment, friendly customers, fun coworkers, discounts are good

    Cons

Some employees choose to not show up or show up late, not everyone pulls equal weight on a shift, lots of turnover

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees better. $0.10 raise annually? No thanks.

    Pros

Shift drink, Small tips, Interact with People, Free beans & Tea, care packages around the holidays

    Cons

No Breaks, Corrupt management, Low Pay, Understaffed, Too much upselling leads to impersonal interactions, Huge workload for often 2 person staffed shifts

When working under a good manager, store ran smoothly, everyone got a decent amount of hours, etc. New management came in, in under 4 months 10 people left, was scolded about my race and being transgender in front of customers by store manager, when I reported the incident to uppermanagement I was told he "didn't believe me". People would show up to meetings with upper management and the upper management would not show up nor call. Constant lying and manipulation by overall management.

    Advice to Management

Listen and take what employees are saying seriously. Management needs more frequent training.
