I worked at Caribou Coffee part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Loved staying caffeinated (not a morning person), Co workers were awesome!

    Cons

Too many early mornings and people calling in sick. Made it hard to study.

I have been working at Caribou Coffee full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible scheduling, early hours or evening hours, easy work. I went from full-time to every friday plus every other weekend so I could finish college. My manager was great in accommodating my weird scheduling needs.
Easy to get into management positions if interested. They seem to like to hire from within when they can.

    Cons

Hard to get full-time unless you're an assistant or general manager. Must pick up hours at other locations if you want more. Shift Supervisor pay only applies when you are the actual "Manager on Duty". So if scheduled as a regular team member, you earn a $1 less, despite being a shift supervisor.
Shifts are only about 6 hours long.

    Advice to Management

Be more available. Step up to confrontations.

I have been working at Caribou Coffee full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible with school schedule and great coworkers

    Cons

There is no opportunity or growth within the company. Incredibly hard to get a raise after working for over a year and there isn't much appreciation for the work that is done.

    Advice to Management

For working in a huge metropolitan city, you would think the employees would be paid more due to a higher cost of living. That isn't the case at the location I worked at. I wish management was able to work the employees, especially the loyal ones with compensation.
