I worked at Caribou Coffee part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free drink each shift, half pound of coffee each week or tea, fun co workers, great if you're a student since you can come back and work holidays

    Cons

Low pay, was only given a raise when the minimum wage hike happened.
Drama between supervisors & managers at times when things aren't running smoothly.
Job can get old after a while if been employed for a long time.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up, just make sure you are listening to your supervisors since manager responsibility is shared often.

    Pros

Flexible hours depending on which store you work at. solid part time position but dependent on payroll so not necessarily a good primary position

    Cons

Hard time staffing, hire manager turnover rate in my district made it hard for consistency or trust.

    Pros

Great management, excellent environment, fun atmosphere, fun customers

    Cons

Very fast paced usually but I liked that. Always on your feet, no breaks.

    Advice to Management

I think breaks are important, work on getting those. Otherwise, keep doing what you're doing!

I worked at Caribou Coffee part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Busy-time went by fast, Enjoyed the routine of opening 4-5X/week, good benefits, had a lot of fun as barista.

    Cons

Felt pressure from management to up-sell too much-especially with the beans. Some of the rules/pressures from management made customer's experience worse

I worked at Caribou Coffee full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Mostly positive customer interactions. If you make something wrong you just smile & remake it. Customers love coming to get their favorite drinks!

    Cons

Not enough coworkers per shift. If someone calls off sometimes it's hard to fill their spot so you can be left short handed. Alot of requirements just to take an order, sometimes customers just want their drink, not a million questions.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to local happenings and schedule accordingly. Allow enough payroll to schedule more people per shift.

I worked at Caribou Coffee part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fun place to work - regular customers are great, flexible scheduling, discounts and free coffee are nice perks. Health insurance benefits available to part-time employees, which is excellent/

    Cons

Lack of communication from Management to staff that is actually doing the work. Less reliable and less capable team members promoted over other more viable candidates. Lack of growth opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Give people a chance to excel and grow so you don't have such a high turn over. Look inside your organization first before brining in supervisor and managment trainees.

I have been working at Caribou Coffee part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great place to work with a lot of diversity and acceptance. There are opportunities and encouragement for personal and professional growth. My ideas and voice are heard and taken seriously.

    Cons

Filling in at other locations can sometimes be confusing, but overall the company as a whole treats us well. The website doesn't always reflect the actual hours we are open for business.
