I have been working at Carlisle Construction Materials full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

WE HAVE NEW LIGHTS! (Kinda) Pay and co-workers. That's it.

    Cons

-Everything else! -Broken down equipment that "will be replaced in the next quarter" 5 years in a row now. -Favoritism is a major fault that needs addressed. - Extremely high turn over rate. (Mainly due to supervisor and workload) - Maintenance is a joke a lot of the time. The guys are great but most don't want to work. -The promise of an upcoming schedule that "we just can't do" because the "seasoned... managers" are too above helping out their crew. (Won't leave their office ) - 7 days a week forever. - Managers that look out for themselves rather than their crew. (Will throw you under the bus to make themselves look better) -Management, management, management! - Excessive workload during extreme conditions in the summer that you are expected to meet regardless of workload that day. - Overlooked talent because of seniority at a company that " seniority doesn't matter" Certain people will make their way to the top of the pay scale even though they can't operate anything. The list goes on and on and on.

    Advice to Management

    - Repair your equipment! Stop making peoples days harder than they have to be. - Stop spending money on useless equipment and put it towards more useful things. Stop sitting in a room coming up with useless ideas and get out on the floor and get some opinions from the guys that keep you in work! - Bite the bullet and get rid of the useless supervisors you have been trying to fire for years. (You know who they... are) before you end up with an aggravated assault charge or sexual harrassment lawsuit. ( these things are still happening almost daily but no one says anything) - Start treating workers like they mean something to you and they're not just another body to fill a void. - Give people some some days off!

I have been working at Carlisle Construction Materials full-time

    Pros

Pay , bonus and some of the co-workers

    Cons

The new benefits are a joke Management will go to bat for you but, only if you're one of their Cronies. Management adapts policies to their needs/wants You can't go to management with an issue because they act like you're bothering them. Employees are nothing but a number anymore and all the company cares about is $$$$

    Advice to Management

Get your head out of the clouds and wake up and then MAYBE you'll realize why you're loosing good employees that USED TO BE LOYAL and now......are only there for a pay check. Open your eyes to the OBVIOUS favoritism going on under your noses, but hey, that would require you to get out of your nice offices and come out and actually INTERACT with your employees (like managers used to do), you know the employees that... are the TRUE BACKBONE of the company because if it wasn't for the production personnel this company wouldn't last at all. So.....get rid of your "I'm better then you" attitude and start actually listening to the employees instead of just blowing smoke up their rear ends when they come to you with a complaint.

    Pros

You get benefits the first day. Decent pay.

    Cons

Very cliquish. Managers are allowed to retaliate and senior management allows it.

    Advice to Management

Open your eyes to what is going on. Bust up the clique's within your management pool.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Carlisle Construction Materials full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The pay is great and some of the work is really fun.

    Cons

Constant changes in policy and rules for hourly workers, so much so it’s pretty comical. You’re forced to work every weekend which makes it really hard to have a quality marriage or family life. I really use to love working there, but the new kindergarten rule of the week atmosphere got to be too much to stay.

    Advice to Management

Set yourselves apart from other area manufacturers and go back to fixed shifts. The money you pay is great but it doesn’t buy happiness or quality of life. Until you fix the atmosphere in the plant I worked in, you will continue to lose loyal, experienced employees.
