I worked at Carlson Marketing full-time

    Pros

Good group of nice people all very talented at their jobs.

    Cons

Top heavy in management, each project manager has to report to three different supervisors.

    Advice to Management

Too many layers of management and the lines between manager and sales person are often blurred.

had some good people and potential, but never fulfilled on it

    Cons

    Pros

You get an agency like feel and meet a wide variety of clients throughout the world.

    Cons

Carlson Marketing has been dwindling down to almost nothing for the last 9 years. Carlson looses clients left and right resulting in layoffs and down sizing. The culture at Carlson Marketing is very harsh because everyone is very protective of their own job.

    Advice to Management

Restructure their sales and pricing strategy to align current needs of potential clients. Basically they need to provide a pricing model that is competitve in the market place and able to pay the bills at CMW (and then some),

    Pros

people are very nice and hours are easy relatively speaking, salaries can be generous and there is a lot of communication

    Cons

not the most innovative place, trying to change this, however... there is a siloed mentality and not enough integration in my opinion

    Advice to Management

need to do a better job integrating the various groups also fostering innovation would be a valuable endeavor for mgmt
