I worked at Carnival full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Maintains a high standard of customer service. Decent benefits. Great employee perks. Good training.

    Cons

Very strict policies for the same people who provide excellent customer service - be prepared to be chained to the phone - make your 30-minute lunch break 25 mins instead because if you're one minute late - you're late and it will cost you your job. Management lacks flexibility with their employees. Even though the employees have perks, too many caveats to enjoy them.

    Advice to Management

Allow your employees to be human for a change. Treat your employees well and the return will be a 100-fold. If you're offering perks, let employees use them without fear. No one should fear whether they have a job tomorrow off of some attendance technicality (sixty-second rule).
