I have been working at Carnival full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, amazing training and mentors, they feed you good, the constant raffles are awesome, atmosphere is upbeat and positive energy can't complain.

    Cons

It may take you time to build your own leads but it's well worth it so be still and don't give up! Get ready to put some hours in. Also if you are a negative person, this place is not for you you'll only fire yourself.

    Advice to Management

Stay cool and down to earth its hard to find motivational managers like you that makes you come to work everyday!

I have been working at Carnival full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great product, good sailing discounts & clear expectations!

    Cons

Ramp up time is longer then advertised to start earning above your guarantee. Tons of outbound calling to people who won’t call you back. Plan on earning low wages til wave season. Once you graduate training you are on your own to figure things out. Wish they were more clear on what realistic first year earnings are. If you are used to making six figures it will be difficult to earn 3k - 4K a month to start and work your guts out to do it with the promise of how it will improve.

    Advice to Management

Be upfront with applicants on the realistic earnings getting started. Provide support for trainees with call reviews and coaching. Have a one on one with your rookies to set realistic expectations of what the first couple months will be. Felt appreciated in Training then thrown to the wolves to sink or swim.

    I worked at Carnival full-time

    Pros

Very nice people did my interview

    Cons

The job duties/description had nothing to do with HR. While meeting with the director and other managers they explained that the position was in charge of ordering stuff for the ships. Like x-box games and ping pong tables. I was a little confused because that has nothing to do with HR.

    Advice to Management

I think they have organizational problems. Even big companies often have organizational problems. HR shouldn’t be in charge of ordering supplies, I think that is mostly an admin job.
