I have been working at Carnival full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get to travel and meet a lot of different people with different cultures. You get to have friends all over the world. Thanks to Carnival ;)

    Cons

Too tiring work load and too much heat from the gangway because theres no large enough tent to cover us

    Advice to Management

Put shifting in gangway, or just put tent on gangway that is large enough to cover us from the striking heat of the sun so we photographers do not get too exhausted and toasted frying 4hrs taking pictures under the sun.

I worked at Carnival part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Worked from home, pay was fair, co-workers were great.

    Cons

I worked here for a lot of years, so there weren't many cons, other than what you'll find in any job (that's why they pay you money to get you to do it!) When they did lay me off, though, it came out of the blue, after they'd been telling me what a great job I was doing in every review I had.

I worked at Carnival (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great opportunity to make a lot of money, if you are willing to put in the time and hard work. Health insurance, 401k matching, stock options, life insurance. Also, people are invested in your success.

    Cons

It takes time and a lot of long days to begin seeing good earning potential. You must work long hours, and sometimes in the short term, it feels like it will not pay off. You'll only see results if you stick it through and really put in the work.

I have been working at Carnival full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Getting paid to travel.

    Cons

You are a slave to the ship. Life aboard is utterly soul-sucking. You are reachable on your mobile 24/7. As long as you're okay with being a slave to your job, otherwise, I cannot stress enough how horrible my experience was with this company.

I worked at Carnival full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

good benefits, discounts in cruises, Empire team has the best management in the building. Fun place, great environment.

    Cons

Although you can make great money, once you averaged your incentives by the amount of hours worked, it's really not that great. I was an above average PVP, and had to work very long hours to make a great paycheck. Sometimes around 70-80 hours per week. Fee cruises they give the employees are almost impossible to get, I was there for 2 years and applied several times and I was never able to get on-board.

    Advice to Management

If the 2 cruises per year you offer the employees were guaranteed and it wasn't almost impossible to get, I would've probably stayed, the process is ridiculous and frustrating.
