I worked at Carnival full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun work environment, get to see a lot of places. All you need to get hired is "people skills."

    Cons

Work can get tedious, and contracts usually last 6 months or more with very few days off.

    Advice to Management

Build in a regular day off for each crew member at least 1-2 times per month to keep from getting run down.

I worked at Carnival full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This job was incredible. It was everything i wanted it to be. I have full control over the programming for 15-17 year olds sailing. Supported 100% by the youth director I found great success running the program. Fun atmosphere, ability to travel, an experience so many new things.

    Cons

Long hours for minimal pay. you will work between 60-65 hours a week, and the hourly wage for this position averages out to be under $6 per hour. I still recommend it, just not if you need to make a lot of money.

    Advice to Management

increase base pay. doesnt have to be by much, but 200-300$ monthly would have made the difference between me staying and me having to leave for a different job

    Pros

Growth, tuition reimbursement, 112 hours starting PTO, 80 hours sick time, cafeteria, food truck days, farmed market Friday's, holiday pay or off depending on department.

    Cons

My positions can become very repetitive because you are taking calls all day. It can get very tiring at time and you will be tempted to us all your sick time.

    Advice to Management

They so a good job, can't think of anything right now.
