I worked at Carolinas Hospital System full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Well all your hospital bills are written off if you have any here.some staff is like family because its so small. That's it!!!

    Cons

Well first of all when you take a look at lower level management and upper level management there is no Diversity. If you look at all the low level jobs in the hospital its mostly blacks and Hispanics. They really do not believe Blacks being in management positions at this hospital. There isn't enough room for advancement if you not the right kind

    Advice to Management

Please start thinking out of the box and hire more minorities in higher positions in this facility and maybe you will see an increase of morale and production

    Pros

I love working with people. My goal is to help clients and show them how to survive and help themselves.

    Cons

Not enough help, doing more than two or three jobs per person.

    Advice to Management

Give people a chance to prove themselves. Because someone gave you an opportunity.

I worked at Carolinas Hospital System full-time

    Pros

They are relaxed about appearance from colored hair to staff wearing rumpled scrubs. I guess they have bigger problems.

    Cons

The staff has problems communicating. They often site the old way of doing things as the best and it's a fight to get orders carried out.

    Advice to Management

If management doesn't support change then staff never will. Learn to fire people and more people will get modern.

I have been working at Carolinas Hospital System full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Not many. Most of the employees are great to work with. The benefits are good, but only if you can get health care from a CHS facility. Otherwise get ready to pay a $5000 copay per procedure/surgery. That was not a typo. Pay is very low in comparison with other health care providers in the area. Treated like property by Administration.
These positive reviews look like they are planted by Administration

    Cons

Low pay, forced PTO, no money for updated equipment including things that cause patient safety issues. Administration staff are arrogant and out of touch with what is happening in the facility they manage. However they are just figure heads for the real management in Tennessee.

    Advice to Management

Mr. Craven and Mr. Rials both need to wake up or resign.
