      50% off, sometimes free, food. Tipped position. Relatively easy job.

      Cons

      Tons of favoritism showed, they don't promote internally, they would rather take transfers. Hard to move up in the company

      Advice to Management

      Stop giving servers who are "pretty" the best sections. When someone tells you their ultimate goal, help them strive for that. Don't keep them down in the same position because it's "what's best for the company".

      I worked at Carrabba's Italian Grill part-time for more than a year

      Pros

      I really loved working at Carrabba's. I've worked a number of part time jobs both in the food industry and other industries, and Carrabba's was my favorite. The training is very extensive (but fun), making you feel confident and successful when dealing with customers. There were plenty of built in incentives to perform well in the job, and everyone was very friendly. Transferring to other locations is also easy.

      Cons

      Nothing was a true "con". The only slightly annoying thing was the high amount of strict rules and procedures set forth by corporate, but honestly they were all worthwhile and made work smoother in the long run!

      Advice to Management

      Keep using incentives for servers to perform well. The rewards that come with employee of the month as well as the occasional selling competitions (most wine sold for the month, etc.) keep the days fun and foster healthy competition!

        Fun and fast paced environment , you should be a people person

        Cons

        Hosts can be used as scapegoats for a lot of problems that aren't their fault and it can ware you down in a busy location

        Make sure there are bussers in every location so hosts don't get stuck with that responsibility because it slows the flow of the restaurant
