    Pros

    A corporate company that actually has longevity for their employees. Great benefits, great crews to work with. Customers were not difficult, all together very comfortable environment!

    Cons

    Minimal sections for severs, turnover depends upon you. Uniforms were difficult in hot weather and training was very long and rigorous.

    None.

    I worked at Carrabba's Italian Grill (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good money, when I started the people were awesome to work with but then the original manager left and everything went down hill.

    Cons

    The Regional Manager wasn't nice at all and we went through 8 managers in the year and a half I worked there. Sexual harassment was not at all taken seriously very poorly managed.

    Advice to Management

    Think about who you hire to manage your restaurants

    Generous meal benefits. Great learning environment. Company principles and beliefs reflect the origin of Carrabba's

    Cons

    Corporate instability. In the last 3 years, multiple high level leaders have led to widely swinging goals and priorities. Recently announced shutting down several underperforming locations.

    Advice to Management

    Slow the swinging of the pendulum so as to allow all level of employees to understand what direction you are trying to drive. Revisit quality of life situation with management in stores.

    I have been working at Carrabba's Italian Grill part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    LOVE my management, I've never had better at any other job. It's like a big family in terms of employee relationships. We do have quite a bit of sidework and not everyone always does their part so it can make busy shifts stressful for those that lend a hand. The food is fantastic and the company as a whole really cares about quality food and service.

    Cons

    Hosts regularly play favorites in terms of seating with servers. Parties of eight or more require two servers so tips must be shared, only three table sections. We don't have bussers, technically speaking, we must clear our tables and only leave behind drinking glasses for the hosts to pick up before wiping down the tables but they rarely help bus anything even though they are tipped out for it. Bartenders also can't leave their bar for any reason so we're always having to run all their food and grab them bread or anything they need, even though we tip them out for making drinks and we don't get anything for helping them.

    Advice to Management

    Hire a food runner. Having to bus tables really doesn't bother me as a server but when my section is full and we're very busy and managers are yelling at us to run food, it's very stressful. I would be there to run the food if I wasn't busy with my tables but I can only do one thing at a time. Having a food runner would be a huge help. Regulate the seating to ensure hosts aren't playing favorites.

    Pros

    Great food, tips are good most of the time, co workers become like family, 1/2 off employee meals, picking up additional shifts was easy.

    Cons

    Business was very slow during the weekdays, management was horrible, you always heard the negative things and never anything positive, favoritism was a problem with certain managers, it was hard to get the time off you requested, lots of employee turn over.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees the way you want to be treated, management needs to stop the favoritism of friends and family members in the workplace, the rules should be the same for everyone, give your employees the benefit of the doubt and compliment them more!
