Carriage offers an environment where you can make your own path. If you perform at a higher level they will work with you on your career path. The current culture at Carriage is second to none. Focusing on the autonomy of each individual location and how they can be the leaders in their market. Great example of a bottom up organizational chart. The Houston Support Centers only focus is being a resource for our industry leading Managing Partners.

With all companies you will find things that you may not like, but those seem to be minimal at Carriage.

Carriage Cares, focus on individual growth and putting the right person in the right spot. Positive focus on culture. Encourages the best in all people. Plenty of support and communication. Can't speak enough about how great and positive all the management is.

Great funeral company to work for, benefits are a big plus, flexible hours, with opportunity for growth in professional funeral service.
Cons
It can be hard work, & hours, it is a 24-hour 7-day week industry, but rewarding for a person who has a desire to be all they can be in funeral service and that want a stable career.

I have never had an experience where I was given TOTAL autonomy. The leadership was left to ME! I was led by normal operation methods that a small business demands and unless I had a problem, I was left to handle the business. The support staff was unusually kind and if we were to partner in our succession plan, Carriage would be the OBVIOUS choice. I left with hesitation to build real estate equity but they could NOT have been more gracious!
