    Pros

Excellent teammates and managers. The setting is also nice. They updated the one in evergreen park where I currently work so everything is just so organized

    Cons

Working for seasonal there isn’t enough hours, it’s sometimes a hassle recovering items Because it is so much stuff that has to be returned

I have been working at Carson's full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get to meet some amazing vendors and talk to some great associates who have been with the company for a very long time.

    Cons

No hours to give!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, some of the customers are very hard to get along with ( depending on the location) .

    Advice to Management

Rethink the whole Bonton structure!( either be a high end retailer or low end.. you can not do both.

I have been working at Carson's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

the Salon is located on the Second Floor of the Carsons Store , At the HIP mall in Norridge IL. All Salon Services provided and vast selections of professional hair care retail is avaliable .

    Cons

they insist in paying a $8.25 hourly as base pay to the Hair Stylist , When across the street they start base pay for commission stylist at $11.00 , insted of a base pay based on they years of experience and volume of clientele the Stylist brings to the table. (high turnover rate of salon managers).

    Advice to Management

More support , training , education for the stylist team .the Also need to make a major revamp of the salon , its dated and needs a major facelift or remodel , company allways says its going to happen , in two years im still waiting for it . salon is stuck in the 90's.

I have been working at Carson's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    They're Really flexible with schedule

    Cons

Customers are the worst at carsons, if your department is clean you CANT leave until everyone else is done, which means you have to wait like 30 to 40 minutes doing nothing, managers let customers return anything, doesn't matter if they've worn it or torn it

    Advice to Management

Let departments leave when they've done their job, it's not fair

I worked at Carson's (More than a year)

    Pros

The customers are truly the best.

    Cons

They hire you in as pt with the thought of becoming full time with hard work and didication, but the truth is the only way you can make fulltime is if you can convince the same customers to open a credit account with them at least 10 people a day. Also you get a 25% employee discount but most of the coupons you can't use with it.unless you live around the corner from the store your working for gas money and thats it working for Carson is for high school students and bored retired people .

    Pros

    The hours are flexible

    Cons

Low wages , managers are not positive, and they can't wait to go home. They let you know that. It puts an employee in a negative mood at times

    Advice to Management

Hire managers that like what they are doing, and are positive. Maybe a little praise would be nice. We now have a new manager that is trying to be positive and sometimes brings in treats and appreciate s or work. I'm looking forward to working with her. She is always professional, and gives us putative feedback.

I worked at Carson's (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nothing there is not that much it's good for seasonal work but that's about it. It's not good for long term

    Cons

Bad management, too muchcatty ness, unprofessional, pay is all over the place. There are people who were hired with a college degree and got paid more than others without a college degree. Everyone has different wages even if you have the same title. I was paid more by 50 cents than most people that have worked there for years. There was no training. They expected you to go over and beyond and kiss there behind. Depending on which section u work in others that work higher end will treat you bad. Kept saying students should drop out and just work full time there

    Advice to Management

Change management and culture period. This is worse than most retail places that I have worked in
