    I have been working at Carter BloodCare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    I love the people I work with in the lab in Tyler. The Med Techs are very knowledgable. 8 hours in PTO from start date. Most people that work for the company have been at CBC for 10+ years.

    Cons

    Hard to move up or get hired in Tyler because employees retire in the position.

    I have been working at Carter BloodCare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Hours are great, especially over time is becoming a lost wage, Carter guarantees overtime. Great Shifts, Great Co-Workers; Everyone has a positive attitude; Management is Great.

    Cons

    If you don't have much time as it is, Carter is not for you. It's a TRUE full-time job. With donors that count on you to love your job.

    Advice to Management

    Your doing a great job, keep working on it!!! We're noticing.

    The mission is wonderful and the donors are great.

    Cons

    Management/Do not Listen/Threaten with job/Change rules then write you up/Not for profit with top heavy management and salaries/one department is all directors/Treat you like children

    Advice to Management

    Restructure/Micromanage/Inconsistent/Cliques/Manage by Intimidation and Threats/

    Nice environment and good benifits.

    Cons

    Terrible upper management. So much time spent on in fighting, almost no time spent on employee concerns.

    Advice to Management

    Take time to ask your employees how they are doing, not just those directly beneath you, those your direct reports are responsible for as well. Just because you are being told everything is great doesn't mean it is.

    Pros

    Nice work environment, Team members work well together. Benefit package is good and PTO adds up quickly at 8 hours per pay period.

    Cons

    Long hours and no weekends off....ever .
    You can requests days off, but often times they are denied.

    Advice to Management

    Offer part time or rotate weekends off
