I have been working at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Time off and meaningful work.

    Cons

Low pay, lack of support for professional employees and licensing, constant ethical issues.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your people and their goals. Don't guilt your employees into staying in a low pay job when it doesn't assist them in reaching their life goals.

I have been working at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Decent medical and PTO benefits if they allow you to use them

    Cons

Most sites are chronically understaffed and the company doesn't have a particular interest in correcting this. Extremely low pay especially considering most employees have bachelor's and master's degrees. No pay increases in 2 1/2 years (and counting). This company actually relies on a low turnover rate so they don't have to increase wage and they aren't spending money on those pesky employees. Cascadia hires and...

    Advice to Management

Keep up with MH industry standards. IT'S ALREADY SUCH A LOW BAR!!!!!! Treat your employees with respect. Believe women when they say they're being harassed. My advice to any prospective employees, run away. You might be lucky and get to work with a good manager, but most likely, you won't.

  4. "RN"

      Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare

      Pros

Great PTO. Meaningful work. Generally great coworkers.

      Cons

The pay - for RNs, anyway - is very low, and you’ll probably never get a raise (I haven’t, in nearly four years of hard work). Everyone is overworked, all programs are understaffed, and management is generally absent.

I have been working at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare full-time for more than 10 years

      Pros

The clients are great. Supervisor is nice to work with.

      Cons

The program managers and middle managers are not experienced or trained. They have zero accountability. A young inexperienced supervisor was hired and two months later promoted to manager. No management skills or experience. Pretty face, tons of makeup and inappropriately short skirts got her the promotion.

      Advice to Management

Hold managers accountable for their actions. Don't promote women who dress like prostitutes. They do not fit into a professional treatment environment and could send the wrong message to vulnerable mental health clients.

I worked at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare full-time for more than a year

      Pros

The PTO can not be beat. It is the best around. The head office is nice and helpful.

      Cons

Overstating in the wrong areas. Lacks proper pay. Hires worst candidates of sites. Lots of turnovers.

      Advice to Management

To keep better management you need to pay the right people. Stop lowballing.

I have been working at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare full-time for more than 10 years

      Pros

Big organization offers the ability to move around and gain experience.

      Cons

Supervisors and managers are rarely permitted to terminate unperforming / policy violating staff. This leads to low morale and most quality staff leaving. Constant staffing crises are stressful for staff and lead to burnout.
