I have been working at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The clients are great. Supervisor is nice to work with.

    Cons

The program managers and middle managers are not experienced or trained. They have zero accountability. A young inexperienced supervisor was hired and two months later promoted to manager. No management skills or experience. Pretty face, tons of makeup and inappropriately short skirts got her the promotion.

    Advice to Management

Hold managers accountable for their actions. Don't promote women who dress like prostitutes. They do not fit into a professional treatment environment and could send the wrong message to vulnerable mental health clients.

I have been working at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Wonderful environment, great clients, great boss at my location, excellent PTO.

    Cons

No raises, rarely reviewed, strongly against unionizing, does not pay a living wage which is in contrast of their mission statement.

    Advice to Management

Do quarterly reviews with raises if certain criterion are met. Pay ALL employees a living wage.

I worked at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Great clients to work with.

    Cons

Tyranical management. No regard for employee safety. Allows no input from clients but says consumer driven!?

    Advice to Management

Consumer driven means clients have a say. With your disregard for employee safety lawsuits are coming.

I worked at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Pay well for this line of work. The clients are great to work with. Flexibility in schedule. Good amount of paid time off but you are often not allowed to take it due to scheduling and being denied by management. Great experience in the field of mental health.

    Cons

Managers of residential programs tend to have limited skills and respect for their employees and clients. Managers contribute to the sexual harassment and assault cycle in the work place. The company sees its staff as disposable and are willing to risk their safety for the revenue of dangerous clients. Employees are forced to work double shifts (frozen to stay overnight when you were working a swing shift) and forced...

    Pros

Great benefits for the employee, great clients

    Cons

Expensive to add family to insurance. Not enough employees to cover the shifts. Feel pressured to pick up additional shifts.

I have been working at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The clients are great. Lots of PTO.

    Cons

If you are a living, breathing human being you are qualified to work here and pass narcotics to clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses. Yes, even if you have ZERO experience in mental health, even if you show up to your job interview late, in jeans and in flip flops, you can work here. You could pick a random person in the grocery store and I guarantee they could be hired. That's the type of company Cascadia...

I have been working at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare

    Pros

Most of the clients are great.

    Cons

I really do hope people will take the time to read this... Cascadia has got to be one of the most pathetic companies to work for. Extremely low pay with no raises. Ever. Period. Management is terrible, especially at the site where I worked. The supervisor acted like more of a "friend" to staff, making it impossible for them to appropriately supervise like they should be. Lots of boundaries were constantly being crossed....
