I worked at CaseWare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company has a good working environment, good management, and a lot of learning opportunities.

    Cons

If you don't like accounting, the product can be a bit try.
Compensation and benefits are not that great.

    Pros

    - Very good working environment at the heart of Toronto

    - Flexible time

    Cons

    - Pace can be a bit faster. It is definitely growing but it does not seem to be hurrying.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

The hours are pretty flexible, at least in the development group (don't know about the rest of the organization). The little restaurant in the bottom floor makes some nice smoothies.

    Cons

Bad communication skills from management. Leads to tense environment where ideas cannot be shared openly. The morale in the office is quite low.

I did not work full-time there, but from the full time employees I met, it seems the salaries are not very good. This combined with the low morale leads to a high turnover rate. Every few months you see waves of people come and go.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees better.

    - IT will provide you with any devices/environments you need for testing

    Cons

    - It's easy to become complacent with the relaxed work environment

    Pros

Team was friendly, although pretty shy.

    Cons

Not much room for growth, teams work in silos with very little communication. You have to be comfortable working on your own 90% of the time.

    Pros

Stable company with great work from home program once you have proved that you are a great employee, usually 2 years.

    Cons

Very horizontal, which means no growth but plenty of opportunities to make lateral movements.
