I worked at Casey Industrial full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    good pay knowlegeable co workers

    Cons

although corporate office Personel seem great the project managers of the forest products are less then desirable, they have come to believe that they can dictate what you do on your spare time and feel you have to ask permission to have a life after work, as well due to seniority the main office will let them get away with it therefore it does no good to even raise these issues with corporate, seems as though forest products will smile to your face jet stab you in the back at the same time af this gets them ahead

    Advice to Management

live by what you say, maintain company values, treat workers as humans not numbers

I have been working at Casey Industrial full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Small company feel, only about 30-40 people in the corporate office in Denver. everyone is real close.

    Cons

they practice a lot of lean construction techniques and sometimes stretch themselves too thin. We sometimes don't staff our projects with enough project management and it makes for very stressful projects with overwhelmed field guys.

    Advice to Management

staff the projects fully from the beginning and estimate the projects correctly and fully from the beginning

    Pros

A somewhat large company that still maintains a small company feel. Most are real good people who have been with the company for a while. Not always able to compete with the major players when it comes to compensation but that can be expected with a smaller company. Most departments differ greatly and will likely have unique outlooks. Travel requirements and remote job locations can be trying for some.

    Cons

Compensation. Can strive to be to "lean" at times and lose some of their top employees to this mindset.

  10. "Good company, but not much room for growth"

I have been working at Casey Industrial full-time

    Pros

    Close knit group of people
Relaxed atmosphere, don't need to dress up
Don't really need to be on time for work.
Lots of opportunity to grow out in the field. if you're a field guy and you start at the bottom there is always opportunity for people wanting to advance

    Cons

not very much room for growth int he corporate office and in the project management areas, the company is so small that once you get into the corporate office or among the project management there isn't a ton of room for growth.
The company is still bouncing back from the bad economy and so they are running all their jobs very lean. it creates a lot of work that falls onto everyones shoulders and some items don't get completed. Some projects are very disorganized

    Advice to Management

Hire more people. It seems like every department needs an extra person or two. bring more project management onto each project. wehtehr they are setup in the field or int he corporate office.. there needs to be mroe people handling the projects needs.
