    Pros

Casual environment. Employees under my general department are nice and competent. Salary for my position is decent. Benefits start on first day of employment. Stock options - although, not public yet. Has new products; potential for growth.

    Cons

Only 3 weeks PTO total. No raises/cost of living increases. Bonuses are uncertain, not sufficient and it is not made clear how they decide who receives it. Company does not contribute to 401k. Communication within department and company is terrible. Company has been saying for a long time that they are going public "soon" but has not happened yet.
Company is very unorganized with processes and procedures! Training is poor. In "start-up" mode after 10 yrs. Always uncertain about how company is really doing.
When economy picks up, the turn over rate will be likely be very high like it was a few yrs back. Seems very top heavy with too many managers is each department.
Would not recommend working here unless desperate for a job. Morale is low.

    Advice to Management

Find new jobs. Cashedge is too much of a mess for you to be a good manager.

    Pros

CashEdge has a near monopoly on internet banking applications for account opening, funding, and funds transfer.
CashEdge's business model is conducive to revenue growth, as fees are charged for each transaction, and transaction volume of internet banking is increasing.

    Cons

Empire building by some of the departments creates tension within cross-functional teams. Management's agenda is often hidden, or at best, poorly communicated. Ranking of individual contributors is forced into a 10-20-40-20-10 distribution, which is then used to discredit individuals and lower bonuses. Some employees have not seen a raise in 5 years. There are no cost-of-living adjustments or yearly pay increases.

    Advice to Management

Recognize that there are morale problems, and openly address them with the employees. Conduct 360 degree reviews to provide feedback from the bottom up as well as top down. Institute yearly cost-of-living adjustments. Improve the ranking process to remove bias and favoritism. Improve top down communications.

    Pros

nice tv (only news channels), colleagues and banking products

    Cons

We can say so many bad things about the management in chennai. HR simply rocks cashedge india. Employees will be asked to follow up her own rules even in TV channels. There is no job guarantee. Firing will happen at any time. New Joiness will be asked to resign if there is a pressure from client side(about product security). HR will not available in office unless or until a client visit. It is advisable not to join cashedge.

    Advice to Management

Management should care about the employee. Chennai management is not at all up to the mark.

    Pros

Fast moving, forward looking. Products are used very widely in the industry. Use a lot of new technology and new software dev techniques, and is constantly evolving. Interesting that most of the reviews here are negative, given the overall attitude i saw at the company that is surprising but disgruntled employees are the most likely to report a review. Happy people less likely, so for a small company it is hard to not see disproportionate numbers of reviews that are negative. I was happy there and taking the time to let others know about it. Provide some balance.

    Cons

Most of the upsides can be seen as downsides for some people. It is fast moving, and forward looking and they are constantly evolving. If you are looking for a 9-5 steady banking job that is very predictable, then this is not the place to be.

    Advice to Management

Keep evolving and moving fast, ignore the vocal minority who can't handle change

Improve the company all hands meetings.

    Pros

Solid core product, established relationship with clients.
Good exposure to payments industry, if that is what you are interested in.

    Cons

Poor communication between teams. Decisions are often made by senior management without informing project stakeholders.
Constant change in direction and the need for management to get involved in small details, coupled with unrealistic expectations, results in a lot of rework and slippage in deadlines. Poor work life balance.
If things go wrong, blame is assigned quickly and people are held accountable for decisions made by higher management.

    Advice to Management

Listen to what employees have to say and figure out how to best utilize their skills. Set clear expectations of what you want to do and how you plan to do it, and stick to it. Learn to manage scope creep. Understand why things went wrong in the past and fix it, instead of repeating the same mistakes.
