I worked at Casper College part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They are really good about working around class schedules and tests. Just let them know at least a day ahead of time.

    Cons

I only work about fifteen hours a week due to limitations on student work study. I wish I had been able to work more.

    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at Casper College (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Excellent pay and great benefits.

    Cons

Old Boy's network, very homophobic. "We do things our own way around here." Employment laws don't seem to apply here.

    Advice to Management

Get entirely new management across the board.

    Pros

Surrounded by great people to work with, dedicated to education (as opposed to some university faculty who view teaching students as "the penance they pay" for having an opportunity to conduct research), creating a well respected institution.

    Cons

Salaries are highly dependent on the fluctuations of the energy market.
Expensive/time-consuming to get to anywhere else in the country.

    Advice to Management

Quit creating new paradigms for program reviews. The reasoning that "Sure, it's a lot of work but you only have to do it once, then just tweak it every year after that" doesn't work if you create a new paradigm every three years or whenever a new administrator comes on board (whichever comes first).

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Casper College as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

By far, the best working environment I have ever experienced!

    Cons

I do not have any cons for this employer. However, I am an adjunct, and I am not on campus everyday. It would be better to read a review of a full-time professor if you are looking for the full picture.

    Advice to Management

    None

Some really great people and students to work with. Good benefits.

    Cons

No performance based raises, only when statewide raises happen.

    Pros

The people were great for the most part. It was a pretty positive place full of interesting people.

    Cons

They never cancelled school for snow days! But then again, it is Wyoming.
