      Pros

Great company, great energy, great people. Best years of my career.

      Cons

The company has merged with DTZ then Cushman& Wakefield and has a very different culture now.

      Pros

Good culture, support, company outings, social events.

      Cons

Some of our third party property owners make upkeep of properties difficult based on budget constraints, but that is not Cassidy Turley's fault.

      All Show, No Go

      Sep 13, 2014 -
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Pleasant people, Fair compensation and benefits. Money spent on employee extras (Ice cream socials, cocktails, . . . ) Generous paid time off policy. Determination to achieve spot on "Best Place to Work" lists

      Cons

Mass exodus of top talent in a recently-acquired office. People promoted for sales skills have no management or leadership skills. Ineffective managers, support functions perform like they don't know what they are doing. Over promising and under delivering to both employees and clients, bordering on deception. Kool-Aid culture - "'No' is not in our vocabulary" even when it's the right answer. Trying to provide too many services instead of sticking to what they do best.

      Right direction?

Jul 22, 2015 - Vice President in Saint Louis, MO

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Employees have a ownership of broad responsibilities. Investment in growth of stable fee service lines such as property management and corporate services. Successful platform to support and grow junior brokers while also implementing competitive incentives to attract senior talent. Generally hire good candidates and hold employees accountable.

      Cons

Leadership quality varies greatly by market, both in business acumen, humility, respect, and integrity. Long term retention difficult due to challenging workloads. Incentives for many salary or partial-salary-partial-commission positions are not aligned with value creation. Culture continues to shift since transition from original CEO, Mark Burkhart.

No work/life balance, too many hours

      Business Outlook

      Pros

-The pay is good, considering it is entry-level business -The benefits offered are very fair -Everyone I work with is very competent and capable -The managers are very open, welcoming, and helpful

      Cons

-There is no work/life balance. They expect you to leave on time, but when you do, you don't get your work finished. -Too much workload, understaffed in some departments -Cannot roll over vacation days one year to the next. "Use it or lose it" policy -Stress levels of all employees seems incredibly high and you see people working late into the evening and every weekend pretty often -Detail-oriented individuals are not valued. Due to the high volume of work expected, taking time for details is not possible.

      Great company to work for!

      Pros

I've been with Cassidy Turley for almost 15 years and have enjoyed it. Sure, all companies go through ups and downs... and all companies have positives and negatives. But Cassidy Turley has kept me challenged, has promoted me several times, has increased my salary appropriately, and continues to give me opportunities to learn and grow.

      Cons

Cassidy Turley needs to continue to implement best practices... whether they are from the west coast or east coast or midwest... it doesn't matter.

      Overworked and underpaid

      Apr 2, 2014 -

      Business Outlook

      Pros

The people and culture here are great. However, there is definitely a look to the place and not much diversity. The environment is mostly people in their 20's, but managers and higher are late 20's and up.

      Cons

Everyone is made salaried pretty quickly because the higher ups know that you will be working a lot of hours. No overtime pay since you're salaried. You're expected to do the work of three people in one day and the goals that are set for you are unreasonable. Very few discount programs and major perks offered. Don't believe the hype of this being one of the best places to work. You get bombarded with the e-mail to vote constantly.

A Good start from College but Not great

Jan 8, 2015 - Facilities Coordinator in Saint Louis, MO

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Pay is decent for recent college graduates, office culture is pretty good, people are usually smiling and happy to be there, health and other benefits are pretty good. Standard office property management company.

      Cons

Bosses are not nice, do not help you but critisize you alot. My boss did not train me like he said he would, Had to learn on my own, HR is a joke. They tell you they will switch your team a few times while you work there to get associated with other teams and if you want to switch at anytime you can, but I tried to switch teams because of my jerky boss and HR never did anything about it. I stuck it out and then moved out of town.

      Great work/life balance!

Dec 31, 2013 - Transaction Coordinator in Saint Louis, MO
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Flexible schedule when coming to and leaving work. Excellent PTO days from the start, you may have extra by the end of the year. Generous holiday schedule with a lot of non traditional holidays off like public schools. Good beneifts package. Laid back atmosphere, good starting salary.

      Cons

Possibly slow advancement or lack of opportunities for advancement. Time will tell for sure. Sometimes there is a lake of support, but that comes with the independence of the work load.
