I have been working at CastleBranch full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Interesting work with the ability to move up or move to a different role if desired. On site cantina with many food options available, plus food trucks brought in on a regular basis. Management teams also think of different ways to incentivize good performance. Interesting and diverse work force. Amazing Holiday Party with open bar and incredible door prizes. Management has recently changed, and since then many positive...

    Cons

Although a lot of work has been put into the new compensation plans, I feel that they are still not quite there, at least for some roles.

    Advice to Management

Keep up with the recent trend of asking for feedback and putting employee suggestions into place. The training and HR department are amazing and it has been nice to see the company invest in making these teams more robust..it has paid off. I know that the tiering plans are revised as certain issues come up, but honestly I think that we should scrap them and come up with something else. Employee feedback is always welcome,...

I have been working at CastleBranch full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

The professional development support, training and education is amazing, casual dress code, excellent leadership, amazing facility with a recreation area, garden, on site gym, food trucks. Extremely friendly atmosphere overall

    Cons

Job titles and department names change frequently and limited professional development for career progression salary wise. Not too many cons!

    Advice to Management

Become more consistent with attitude in regards to coaching. I’ve had an excellent experience with my most recent supervisor but prior to this one I was under another supervisor who was rude and verbally abusive. Also stop changing the names of the departments so frequently- it confuses the staff and the clients

I worked at CastleBranch full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

There were some pros and cons just as with any company. This company did offer opportunity for growth and paid better than most companies in the area. There were free bagels and coffee. There is an on-site workout area, healthy food choices, a large cafeteria, various food truck visits. There is an on-site game room to decompress.

    Cons

Very little training. The approach was mostly side by side with other employees causing you to pick up their habits (good or bad). Favoritism: unfortunately if those in supervisory roles did not like you, then you did not advance and were scrutinized. Lack of transparency and poor communication. Departments communicated just fine with in that department. Getting information from one department to the next in a timely...

    Advice to Management

People like to be informed. Open the communication from one department to the next. Value all of your employees equally because just because you hired them doesn't mean they have to stay. It cost more to recruit and hire new staff than to develop and value the one already doing the job.

    I worked at CastleBranch full-time

    Pros

Casual dress, flexible schedules, food trucks

    Cons

POOR management. HR has personal cliques with certain employees and make decisions based on friendships rather than being a neutral party. Hire and fire regardless of excellent reviews. Will not tell you the true job function in order to sway you to accept a position when you are unaware of the turn over. Do NOT be blinded by the visible perks. Advice to Management

HR should ALWAYS remain neutral especially when they have encountered the same situation multiple times in the past with the same employee. Personal friendships should not come first. Keep in mind you are hurting people who trust you.

    Cons

-Very stressful work environment -Micromanagement -No room for growth -Consistently as an employee in the department I worked, change was always promised and never happened. -Compensation (goes along with no room for growth) -High school atmosphere -Managers are allowed to be best friends with co workers under them. Advice to Management

Change everything! This starts with looking at people who have been there a while, people who may be higher up. Start listening to what so many have said during their exit interviews and change. Many have given blatant reasons for why they are leaving and most are the same reasons every time. These are always ignored once the person is gone from CB. A lot of great workers have come and gone from this company. How...

I have been working at CastleBranch full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Benefits are great if it's just for yourself (medical, dental, vision, 401k)Sick time,PTO and paid holidays. Food trucks, gym, volunteer opportunites to help the community. I love how we are in "the loop" about where the company is going in the future, a lot of places do not do this and it makes you feel appreciated. My stress level has greatly reduced since I have started here! Even though I have money in the con section,...

    Cons

Of course pay, but you are going to have that at any job. Money makes the world go around and we will never have enough money in life. It gets rough when you're not in peak season and start getting asked to leave early or stay at home the next day.

    Advice to Management

I think you are doing great ! There will always be some negative people and things that can be improved, but it's all in how you approach your work.

    Pros

Great work culture- such a collaborative place. Gym, break room, food truck are all beneficial. CastleBranch has helped me build my career and have provided me with many opportunities to grow and learn.

    Cons

Benefits are expensive for spouse and families. Communication is lacking but is getting better.

I have been working at CastleBranch full-time

    Pros

Culture is the big thing here. Co-workers are, for the most part, amazing. You get out of it what you put into it. If you are friendly and actually get to know the folks that work here, you will be pleasantly surprised. There's a gym on site and employees can utilize it at no cost. Also, there's a game room with ping pong, skeeball, etc. Very hip if you are into that kind of thing. Food trucks also show up on a regular...

    Cons

Communication is still an issue here. I mentioned above that it is getting better. It has a long way to go. I am a huge advocate for transparency, especially in business. Free flow of information is key in our business. We struggle with that. The CEO, Brett Martin, is a bit of bag of hot air. Just earlier this year, he gave a speech at an event where he stressed that higher paying jobs are needed in the area. Yet,...

I have been working at CastleBranch full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Great benefits from health insurance and 401k to sponsored food days and paid sick time. Supportive coworkers, rotating food trucks, lots of volunteer opportunities and a modern work environment. Overall, a fun place to grow your career and you definitely get out of it, what you put into it.

    Cons

As with any company experiencing growth like CB is, there are growing pains. Communication between teams especially in different buildings can be tough. There are long days during peak season.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the front line employees who have suggestions for improvement and follow through with commitments! Keep the momentum.
