I worked at CastleBranch full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

New-ish buildings (TekMountain's concept and layout is nice), decent health/dental benefits

    Cons

The pay - the biggest contributing factor (aside from poor management and monotonous work). It's poverty level - even when you've poured 5+ years into the business without a decent raise. Also, CastleBranch tends to hire the bottom of the barrel of people. When you want to be professional & work with like-minded individuals, they'll hire people with little to no work ethic to fill a seat and boss around. You've heard...

    Advice to Management

Out with the old, in with the new. Let more qualified individuals lead the teams instead of keeping the same 4 under qualified women dictate the operations department. Fight to compensate those who deserve it rather than food days & office "perks".

We appreciate your comments and we have taken great strides regarding comp in the past 12-18 months and recognize that there is still room for improvement. We do try to create balance for all with the added benefit of food days and office perks also, both are equally important.

    I worked at CastleBranch full-time

    Pros

-Casual Dress Code -Management works with you if you need to leave early/come in late for a doctor appointment - Free fresh fruit/coffee daily - Benefits are fairly good when compared to other companies

    Cons

-Low compensation -High school atmosphere -Mandatory overtime/majorly overworked -Lack of management training which leads to unnecessary micromanagement -Having a higher education will get you nowhere -Huge lack of communication between departments -Systems are archaic -Focused on selling but not retention -Lack of career growth -High turnover -The quality of training has...

    Advice to Management

I worked at Castle Branch for several years and during my time there, I both experienced and viewed many company changes. Most of them looked good on paper but when actually executing them, they were terrible for the company, employees, and clients. Instead of fixing their archaic systems, the company decides to just create new ones that will have just as many bugs and errors as the older ones. The managers are not...

I worked at CastleBranch full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

-Casual work attire -Relationships you will build with other employees -Food Trucks -Employee appreciation cards -Close to the beach -Free coffee

    Cons

-Very stressful work environment -Micromanagement -No room for growth -Consistently as an employee in the department I worked, change was always promised and never happened. -Compensation (goes along with no room for growth) -High school atmosphere -Managers are allowed to be best friends with co workers under them. This creates favoritism among certain departments. -Constant...

    Advice to Management

Change everything! This starts with looking at people who have been there a while, people who may be higher up. Start listening to what so many have said during their exit interviews and change. Many have given blatant reasons for why they are leaving and most are the same reasons every time. These are always ignored once the person is gone from CB. A lot of great workers have come and gone from this company. How...

I have been working at CastleBranch for more than 2 years

    Pros

Good for someone with no life. You can consistently walk in the door 30 minutes late and NEVER do your assignments and get promoted for it.....

    Cons

Pay is way too low for the work they expect, managers are inexperienced and often times supervising their friends, inconsistent in setting and enforcing policies, they pick and choose who does and doesn't have to follow the rules. over time demands are outrageous, they do not take into consideration that people have a life outside of that place and the write people up when they can't or don't work the overtime. Their...

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting people after a few weeks of employment and riding the coat tails of others. Hold people accountable for doing or not doing the work assigned to them instead of making others do it for them. Grow up..... Just because you are in a supervisory position doesn't mean that you can treat the rest of them like babies. Communicate policy changes and rule changes instead of making them up as you go. Raise the pay...

I have been working at CastleBranch part-time for more than a year

    Pros

lax dress code nice location, great break room, get two 15 min breaks some fun events offered

    Cons

You spend most of your first weeks there hearing whispers and gossip from senior employees, or people who have only been there a few months, because they're worried about their job security when they see new training groups come in. New training groups mean people are going to get fired or moved. It made me feel very unwelcome and started to make me feel anxious about whether or not I was going to be there long if these...

    Advice to Management

Be honest in interviews and training process. Tell new employees right away what the expectations are for the company and for the department/position they're going into. Don't sell a job candidate on one thing, and then change things around in less than a month and without fair warning. be more approachable. change the atmosphere. employees shouldn't always be fearing for their job safety when new groups of people...

I worked at CastleBranch full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Casual dress code, a few (very few) honest co-workers who actually have morals and integrity

    Cons

What starts out a s a seemingly wonderful job will quickly sucks the life out of you. The departments are like as one reviewer put, going back to high school. Actually it's more like junior high, the maturity level is below even high school. The majority of upper management is in place due to friendships with the owners. Some middle...

    Advice to Management

Stop thinking only of yourselves. Being a supervixor or a manager comes with a moral responsibility. Care about productivity but care about people and integrity more. Stand by your word and your actions and make sure they are honest and honorable. Don't promote people just because they kiss up to you or agree to "extracirricular activities" with you. If you are bi-polar or just feel that it's okay to be two-faced and...

I worked at CastleBranch full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible schedule, left mostly to your own devices. Management is outwardly friendly. VERY relaxed dress code.

    Cons

Low pay for work, relatively high stress. You have to meet fairly reasonable production standards per hour but you definitely have to compensate for an off day. Errors are often recorded inconsistently so you never really have an idea what your score will be until the auditors decide if they're going to be anal or not that week, which certainly contributes to the stress. Very high school-esque...

    Advice to Management

Run your business more professionally, and reward serious employees instead of your friends. Your company is clearly on the way up, but your employees don't feel invested in it because they know you underpay them and pocket all the money for your own ostentatious desires.

    I worked at CastleBranch full-time

    Pros

There was a causal dress code.

    Cons

Management and team leads are all in some type of high school clique. They favor people who kiss their butts, and they promote those who they like. The do not care about anyone but their friends, especially those in their clique. There is a ton of gossip in this place. Be careful who you talk to and who you talk around.
