    Pros

Decent benefit and pay. Great coworkers (maybe I'm lucky)

    Cons

Manufacturing means unpredictable schedules. long shift >10 hours but only work 4 days/wk that can be seen as either pro/cons. the job demands more physique than brain

    Pros

I have been working at Catalent Biologics for over 2 months now. Really love the patient first atmosphere in everything we do. People are generally really friendly and helpful. I really like the department that I work and further more you can work on multiple projects and the likelihood of these products going to market and actually helping patients is very probable which Is something I care about. Also they just implemented a new benefit where you can take up to 8 hours paid hours to do different volunteering activities and since I am very big on community service this is wonderful news to me

    Cons

So since the Madison site is growing pretty rapidly we are experiencing some growing pains as we try to build up a sustainable infrastructure for the future. However, even though it may be frustrating when orders are delayed etc., we just have to understand that we need to be patient and hopefully things will sort themselves out. Also I would love to see more professional development options for young professionals. Remember in life there will always be pros/cons to every situation and everything is never perfect but if you bring a positive attitude to things most of the time it will all work out

Cleaning Validation and QC Associate Scientist

    Pros

Most employees are cordial, friendly and willing to share their knowledge. The site is located in close proximity to Florida gulf beaches. The site is home to many departmental functions including manufacturing of commercial, clinical and hormonal products all in gel capsule technology. There is also QC, Analytical Research & Development, Product Development, Validation, Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing (except for packaging) departments. Therefore, if able to network and use time wisely, you can learn about different roles and what it takes to run a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.

    Cons

There is a lot of temps in QC doing repetitive tasks and in Validation as well, due to employee retention issues that make being a part of the staff or employee unattractive to both the employee and the candidate. There is a lot of tired, old people no young people. QC management team passively and intentionally discourage employee motivation and create negative, unproductive work environment. Management in QC is discriminatory, combative, and incompetent. In addition, management in Human Resources and even Labor and Employee Relations are inexperienced, engage in business irregularities, and unprofessional. I was persistent and no career advancement opportunities were given and it requires approval of your current manager to transfer. They also have PIP where if you make a mistake they sit you down, interrogate you, and they file it under your name. This is done because management is full of people with mentalities still in puberty and are unable to engage in constructive and productive conversation with their employees. It is also done as a fear tactic. Advice to anyone looking to join the organization is to reconsider relocation package which requires 2 year commitment (or pay back) and tuition reimbursement “benefit” program which requires the same. Note that due to the stress of the work environment and immediate financial responsibilities of some employees in QC, I heard they suffer from anxiety and are medicating. Truly sad and a reflective a truly unprofessional work environment. People don’t dress nice or professional.
