Pros
The people are wonderful and there's ample opportunity to gain lots of experience in the industry.
Cons
Understaffed, over-allocated and not compensated very well.

Pros
Great people are the #1 reason I've stayed as long as I have. The community of growth, flexibility, collaboration and just plain hard work is second to none. It's a company where self-motivated employees are rewarded with career-building opportunities, and the broad array of clients mean you can get exposure to a number of different disciplines at once. Plus now that we're owned by a larger company (Epsilon), benefits are competitive and fair — insurance offerings and time off policies are in line with the competition, plus there are some extras that are really nice (example: back up daycare included)
Cons
Like any agency, the work/life balance is a struggle. "The speed of shopper marketing" is used as an excuse for unreasonably tight timelines and poorly staffed accounts, and when hires are — finally — approved the recruiting, interviewing and hiring process is complicated, lengthy and largely ineffective. This means that meeting expectation in a normal 8-9 hour work day is extremely difficult — days are hectic and require better than average efficiency and prioritization for success. Pay isn't great, but it's not terrible either.

Pros
The best thing about Catapult is that there's an open-door idea policy. When faced with new projects and challenges from our clients, it's common for teams to reach out to everyone, company-wide, for advice or expertise. They really foster a feeling of camaraderie and collaboration. I'm lucky to work with a vast stable of truly talented people. It's also interesting for Creatives since "shopper marketing" is a different approach than "advertising." The focus is really on the Shopper ("user" or "consumer") and Insights are a really huge part of the brainstorming process. A lot of opportunities for different kinds of work, from traditional in-store signage to emails to websites to events!
Cons
Due to the rapid growth rate of Catapult, there are a few hiccups in mid-management and leadership. Often, managers are overwhelmed with many additional team members; they don't receive the necessary training for leading sizable groups. Sometimes process is interrupted or miscommunications occur (though all problems are addressed and handled appropriately). This is a place where you will be CONSTANTLY BUSY. Our clients expect work yesterday. If you aren't used to lightning-fast turnarounds and last-minute changes, you'll get lost here. But if you like being challenged and really applying your time management and supercreative skills, it's pretty fun.
