    Pros

Catapult is a great small company to work for, in terms of people, culture, prestige as a Microsoft partner, and opportunity. They really encourage personal and professional growth, and do not pigeonhole people into one role.

    Cons

Sometimes engagements can be trial by fire, since it's a small company and you might be the only one who almost knows how to do something. And because it's a privately held company there are no stock options or profit sharing.

    Pros

The people really make it a great place to work and grow. New ideas are welcomed, and communication with management is two-way. There is an emphasis on fun and teambuilding here that helps you get to know colleagues more so that you become stronger together. Managers value personal professional development and the company supports role based training. The culture of feedback here is really good, voices are heard and effective changes are made to benefit employees.

    Cons

As a smaller company, there might not be a clear way to move up in your career field. However, you get to define your role and career growth by what responsibilities you own and succeed at. Your role is what you make it - within reason of course!

    Advice to Management

When we have fun events I think that it really says something about the managers that show up and get to know us outside of work. When they don't show it also says something.

I have been working at Catapult Systems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The industry is changing quickly, and Catapult along with it. If you love a fast paced company who is values your thoughts, ideas and opinions, this is a great place. Yet Catapult has been around for over 20 years, so stable too. TONS of fun events and lots of focus on employee satisfaction. An all around great place to work.

    Cons

As a smaller company, some roles will be challenged to find a career path for growth. But for most employees, there are plenty of opportunities.

    Pros

Amazing culture, great and smart people, ability to learn and grow, no politics and flat organization, managers really care about employees, always laughter in the hallways, great relationship with Microsoft.

    Cons

Having offices in 7 different cities can be a challenge for consistency, but its also fun if you want to travel.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work and hire the best!

"Great company....if you want to be micro-managed."

I worked at Catapult Systems full-time

    Pros

Good at finding permanent jobs, constant communication, pays well, etc., etc., etc.

    Cons

Awesome at micro-managing. They "need to know" exactly what you are doing, even if it does not relate to the job itself. Very unprofessional and rude.

    Advice to Management

Stop asking people what they are doing outside of work. That has absolutely NOTHING to do with the job or the position and it makes you look very unprofessional and obsessed.

We appreciate your feedback! While many Catapult employees do spend time together outside of normal business hours, we certainly appreciate that not everyone is interested in sharing what they do... More

    Pros

Company culture, People, Executive Leadership, Product Development, Innovation, Stability, Professional Development Opportunities

    Cons

Would like to see additional paid parental leave on top of sick days.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing! The one suggestion I would have is to review Parental Paid Leave policy to align more with other tech firms in Austin.

I have been working at Catapult Systems (More than a year)

    Pros

Catapult is an employee focused organization, with many activities planned for bonding and networking. There are lots of opportunities for consultants to get training in technical and soft skill areas. Innovative with Intellectual Property led unique offerings, such as Fuse and Launch. Which are priced right and wisely managed services offering, not just application development. Flat organization chart - consultants work with a different Delivery Manager for each project, so the team members you work with change with each engagement.

    Cons

I am not a very social person, so the planned activities are less compelling. Although there a great many extremely talented consultants, often the qualifications for delivering a project is based on who is most available.

    Advice to Management

Expand beyond the "Microsoft Consulting Company" reputation
