I have been working at Caterpillar full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The exceptional benefits if a full time employee are inspirational. I've gotten 8 people to come apply through a temp agency here in Seguin, Texas. I tell a lot of people who have decent paying jobs about the 401K plan, health insurance, great pay, to come apply. I've bought 1 vehicle that's paid off, and driving a 2006 Chevy now. I did this in 8 paychecks. Thanks Caterpillar

    Cons

Currently working through a temp service, I'm limited on benefits. I'm hoping to get hired full time very soon. I've submitted 2 job applications for full time. Should get hired

    Advice to Management

Remember that all people who walk through the the door with hiring agency's, will stay if not hired after a certain amount of time. I have no write ups, no days absent, & even went to work after getting a tooth extracted yesterday. I want to retire at Caterpillar. The excellent benefits, health care, profit sharing, etc. Will only fullfil my objective goal, if hired soon

This is the best company I have ever worked for. They truly live their Values in Action. GReat co-workers, benefits, and competitive pay

    Cons

It can sometimes be difficult to advance unless willing to relocate.

    Advice to Management

If an employee receives a master's degree while currently employed, please consider recognizing this accomplishment with a pay increase, rather than forcing the employee to look elsewhere for advancement.
