    - Objectives change rapidly. Need stability in upper management and leadership and clearly defined goals for the company

    Know your audience and stick to your growth path. Be willing to let things fail and learn from mistakes

    Pros

    Pros .... the store management cares about the employees, customers and atmosphere.

    Cons

    Can't be friends outside of work, derails morale.

    Advice to Management

    It doesn't seem that the stores are wanting to develop teamwork and morale, since they aren't allowed to socialize outside of the workplace.

    feet hurt, lots to learn in beginning, would like longer lunches lol, otherwise a great place to work with a great team

    Small store with repeated customers
    Great job to earn some gas money

    Benefits are very good. Vacation time is higher than most retail

    Cons

    Low end of pay scale. Pushed to get people to sign up for credit cards

    Advice to Management

    If you want people to sign up and use the credit card it needs to have an advantage every time they use it not just the first time

    Pros

    Good Atmosphere, customer interaction is good, you have a good time while working.

    Cons

    You don't get a steady schedule and unless you're store manager or assistant manager, you're not getting full-time. Great job if you're going to school or even if you have a full-time job & want a little extra income. Pay isn't great so this isn't great as your only job.

    I worked at Catherines part-time

    Pros

    Great discount! Working with customers was rewarding and kept the job interesting with all the different personalities. Other employees and immediate supervisor were great to work with. We had a reward system called Ace reward in which we received points when meeting goals. Points were exchanged for products and gift cards.

    Cons

    Terrible pay. Had credit card and Perk sales goals to meet every shift. Sometimes felt like the credit was more important than the customer. Felt underappreciated from upper management. Voice was not heard.

    Advice to Management

    Poll the stores before making changes. All stores are different and don't fit into one design. For example, if you are going to take petites tops from a store ensure the average height of their customer base first.

    Having to make sales phone calls, Customers tend to not be happy with these on the weekends, Minimum wage

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up, offer competitive pay, and or bonus possibility
