I worked at Catholic Charities USA full-time

    Pros

It was a joy working with the children. The employees were understanding and made the environment to work in, a good one.

    Cons

Not many cons, just the fact that as a camp counselor you'd have to be pretty active during the summer and sometimes you're just tired.

I worked at Catholic Charities USA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people to work with who care about serving the mentally ill.

    Cons

Management obsessed with getting your "numbers", the time you spend with your clients. Because of this, workers get behind in the paperwork. You cannot do 10 hours of work in 8 hours,
I heard that last spring 2016, that the pressure on numbers were eased, and all employees were given a raise, the first in almost 10 years.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff. Let them solve their problems on their own, and don't be so quick to shoot them down. Give praise besides criticism.

I worked at Catholic Charities USA full-time

    Pros

the kids were awesome with lost of opportunities to engage with youth and build team capacity. Lots of resources and opportunities for the kids to expand and explore different interests.

    Cons

The site was disorganized, there is not a clear chain of command to follow. Many times workers worked beyond their contractual time but were not compensated. Very uncomfortable environment. Limited opportunities to move up on site.

    Advice to Management

Get new managers at your sites. Ones that are fair and just and care more about the youth rather than their personal agendas.

I have been working at Catholic Charities USA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Slow. People leave you alone as long as you get your work done.

    Cons

No room for growth. They never give you a raise.
Management doesn't care about support staff or any staff at all. I saw my manager 3 times in 2 years. Poor training. They never want to hear from you and when you reach out they write you up.

    Advice to Management

Be a manager! Manage your employees.
