    I worked at Catholic Charities USA for more than a year

    Pros

    Progressive agenda with typically progressive and empathetic staff. The agency (on multiple management levels) really seems to care about the population that they serve

    Cons

    Super low salary (but that is to be expected in social services non-profit work). Biggest con is that the agency is so underfunded that many of the services advertised become unavailable simply due to a lack of finances

    Employees are like a family. Each works well together for the betterment of the clients they serve. They form a special bond together in and outside of the workplace.

    Cons

    it is a non profit organization so therefore you will not get rich on the salary.

    I worked at Catholic Charities USA full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    This agency has a great mission. They help kids, homeless, destitute. It is very rewarding work on a personal level.

    Cons

    Low pay - it is a non-profit. But you can bet the management is getting paid well! Employment here at the worker level is a revolving door. Their clientele is often treated better than their employees.
