    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Catholic Charities of Brooklyn & Queens full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You are able to work anywhere with the interpersonal skills you learn here.

    Cons

Poor management and supervision. Supervisors do not pay attention to their workers and do not provide adequate supervision and guidance in dealing with mental health, chemical substance abuse, and homeless populations. Management expect workers to contact 50+ clients every month without offering any assistance. Management willingly allows bullying in the office and is openly accepting gossips to happen in a work environment...

    Advice to Management

Stop being hypocrites and demonstrate true empathy towards workers as well as clients. Offer equal growing opportunities to those who are willing to challenge their professional lives. Discourage any gossiping between workers and stop showing favoritism.

I have been working at Catholic Charities of Brooklyn & Queens full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay for nonprofit sector. Fun co-workers. Myriad of useful HR trainings available to you.

    Cons

Health insurance is expensive. Case loads up to the 90s. Minimal support from Management. No schedule flexibility. Constantly changing program requirements. Management cares infinitely more about the client than the workers to the point where workers are forced into situations in which they feel unsafe. Seems like promotions are based on how much you’re liked, not how you perform.

    Advice to Management

    Support your case managers.
