The compassion for patients is probably coming from faith-based nature of the institutions under the CHCS umbrella which include nursing homes and hospitals. There is a team approach among the professionals which
definitely benefits the patients, and there are a number of long-term employees.
The unprofessional nature of priest/nun employees results in a "What Would Jesus Do?" mind-set; for example, there is no such thing as depression, only people who don't pray enough. Upper management never seems to ask what employees think. Pay is below average.
