I worked at Cathy Jean full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The staff I worked with made the job experience incredible. We had an energetic staff and there was always motivation to upsell. It helped that our regional manager was constantly in contact with us.

    Cons

I had been with the company for over 4 years, and I could tell the quality of the shows was decreasing. Corporate expected us to meet certain standards but it was quite difficult when the product was not what it once was, especially for the price. The pay rate could definitely have been better especially for all that we did on a daily basis.

    Advice to Management

Better pay for employees. Also, to find better ways to manufacture better quality shoes. We lost a lot of clients because of the poor quality.

    Pros

Co-workers were nice, got paid commission. Flexible hours and the store was pretty laid back until the holidays and sales.

    Cons

The store was poorly managed and my manager was down right rude and disrespectful to other employees. You cannot trust anything this company does or sells. The shoes are cheap, but they are of really bad quality and employees try to sell defective shoes in particular for additional compensation

    Advice to Management

It needs to start with the owners and upper management. These people are untrustworthy and try to make a quick penny off their bad merchandise.

    Pros

I have nothing good to say about them.

    Cons

Everything else. No organization, no regard for their customers, raises prices just to put them on "discount", and they use crappy companies to get products now, no real leather but real leather price!

    Advice to Management

Clean your crap up, treat your employees better, stop yelling to try and get your points across.

    Pros

There was a commission opportunity if you sold over a certain qouta, that's when you start getting commission.

    Cons

It was a minimum wages job and all that standing around for hours on end.

    Advice to Management

Actually do some of the dirty work and not just leave it to the new associates.
