I worked at Cattlemens part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Making cash tips every night. The money is great for a college student trying to make it by. You'll make a solid $100/night

    Cons

Management is awful. They adjust and change your hours without telling you. They play favorites and constantly change what they expect from you every night you work. Corporate is almost just as bad.

    Advice to Management

    Don't be so shady

    Pros

I have loved this place from day 1! You are always treated like family, management really cares not only about how you are doing work wise, but how things are going in home life too. The company as a whole takes care of their employees. Great pay and great hours!

    Cons

My only con is...: we aren't open for lunch hours!!

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work and the opportunity for growth!!

    Pros

Good money, management is usually reasonable, 4-6 hour shifts.

    Cons

Costumers can often be rude, shoppers are taken very seriously, bar shifts are set bar servers up for failure with lack of assistance from the rest of the restaurant. 2 On-call shifts per schedule, you usually can't plan anything for the day since you can be called in with 30-60 mins notice. If you're not called in, you receive no compensation for the day blocked off.

    Pros

The management is really personable; the GM worked her way up from hostess so she knows every aspect of the job. The kitchen and office managers are equally as knowledgeable.

    Cons

Sales! Most of the veteran servers have been there for years, so hospitality and good service is second nature. Therefore, heavy emphasis is put on sales of certain products (wine, cocktails, appetizers). This isn't a particularly bad thing, since most restaurants are at least somewhat sales-oriented. Just know what you're getting into if you want to be a server here.

    Advice to Management

Great job on keeping Cattlemens consistently good.
