    I worked at Cavender's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Competitive work environment, commission based pay at my old location, so as long as you worked and had fair product knowledge the pay was good, able to help customers with their shopping experience and make money doing so.

    Cons

Commission does cause people to take your sales, slow days were a killer, holidays were long and busy. If you weren't there to work you weren't going to make money either.

    Pros

I like my coworkers and bosses, and I like getting to look at clothes all day.

    Cons

I'm seasonal, not part-time, so I don't get an employee discount. Also, a lot of the work is really repetitive.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Y'all are some of the best bosses I've had, and it's a pleasure to work for you guys.

    I worked at Cavender's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I worked for an awesome store manager who was always willing to jump in and help when it was needed.

    Cons

I was not a sales person so my pay was strictly hourly - minimum wage. I was there for a year and a half before I finally received a small raise. Also, there are mostly high schoolers who work there so you have to be able to deal with the drama associated with them.

I have been working at Cavender's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The coworkers are friendly, but make sure you get your sales, especially if you are a seasonal worker. I want to stay and get hourly pay, too.

    Cons

I am new and a seasonal worker. As of now, I simply work for commission, with no hourly pay. I need an average $1600 a day to make any money.

    Advice to Management

There to help if I need them.

    I worked at Cavender's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You're surrounded by hot country guys everywhere. Everyone is super friendly and wants you to reach your goal. You want to buy everything

    Cons

You want to buy everything, the management sucks, they expect you to not have an outside life, they want you to live and breathe at Cavender's.

    Advice to Management

Most of your employees are college kids. Let them enjoy what they have left of school. A lot of the older people need to hurry up and realize that it's kinda embarrassing being 34 and still working at a retail store.

    Pros

Discount and meet some kind customers

    Cons

Bad pay for amount of work put in, bad management, the only hard workers are the new ones who they put to do everything. No way of growing in the store

    Advice to Management

Fire the managers and hire ones who care about the business not ones who are there for themselves only and are inconsiderate and favor people and don't listen to employees
