I have been working at Cavium full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

One great company to work at. Plenty of fun positions with great growth potential, plenty of new product lines for the company to expand, no politics, no BS.

    Cons

The CEO is not a big fan of M&A. Previous M&As many years ago weren't very successful. It is truly amazing for the company to grow to its current status without M&A; but in this industry, in the Bay Area, one can do much better with successful M&A.

I have been working at Cavium full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Amazing silicon technology.
    Damn smart people.
I enjoy using my broad experience here, less pigeon-holing than any other non-startup I've worked at.

    Cons

Expect to do the work of 4 normal people.

    Advice to Management

Should probably hire more fresh-grads and less-experienced people, the current team is amazing but some younger hands might be good.
