Reviews about "career path"
Return to all Reviews- 2.0Jul 22, 2020Senior Lead Software EngineerFormer Employee, more than 1 yearChicago, IL
Pros
This company is well position to remain stable and even profit from economic market fluctuations. This makes CBOE a very stable place to work.
Cons
Merging with BATS Exchange resulted in big parts of the company (e.g software development) to move from Chicago to Kansas City. There is not career path and therefore the opportunities for professional growth are scarce.

Pros
Predictable hours aside from pager duty. If you are pursuing an evening higher educational degree, this is a great place to work. The culture respects employees and offers tuition reimbursement with some restrictions.
Cons
There are no opportunities to telecommute. You have to be at the office every day. Moreover, it does not offer many promising career growth paths.
