What’s the best way to have a lack of compensation and incentive conversation in your department? I went above and beyond for years doing extra work, organizations etc and nothing has been reflected in pay. I thought my 5 year was going to finally show something but it did not. This company is well position to remain stable and even profit from economic market fluctuations. This makes CBOE a very stable place to work.
Merging with BATS Exchange resulted in big parts of the company (e.g software development) to move from Chicago to Kansas City. There is not career path and therefore the opportunities for professional growth are scarce.2

Predictable hours aside from pager duty. If you are pursuing an evening higher educational degree, this is a great place to work. The culture respects employees and offers tuition reimbursement with some restrictions.
There are no opportunities to telecommute. You have to be at the office every day. Moreover, it does not offer many promising career growth paths.
