    Pros

The people there are generally very passionate about the amusement and entertainment industry. Rides is a wonderful department with supportive managers and a great team mentality. Pay is low but hours are high, and the benefits are actually very good if taken advantage of.

    Cons

Cedar Fair corporate consistently makes the employee life worse, with stricter budget cuts and longer required hours, the work environment can be hostile at times from their changes to benefit shareholders. Guests are not a priority at the park, but maximizing profit is. Massive lack of transparency.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on the guest experience in the day to day operations, and less on ensuring you have a better quarter than the last.

I worked at Cedar Point Amusement Park part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people, fun job, great supervision.

    Cons

Management is out of touch with part time employees, 80+ hour weeks when staffing is low, low pay.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to properly staff rides, do not send people to rides that make them want to quit

I worked at Cedar Point Amusement Park full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits like free access onto the park

    Cons

Managers are wildly inappropriate. No one seems to care about you there at all. Systems fail all the time and as a server I was shorted almost $100. Lots of other people as well. I told them i could prove it and they didnt care. They practically stole from all of us and lied about investigating it countless times. If youre short $1 in your cash bad though some investigator-wannabes are coming for you. No pros are worth being stolen from and lied to as well as the managers inappropriate sexual behaviors and personal entitlement as if they werent making less than I, as a server. I also worked an hourly job years before. It still sucked. Guys there is a reason they are extremely short staffed. They also are so rude to the internationals and cut corners every chance they get. I will never ever go back and almost took the money situation to the courts. Its sickening.

    Advice to Management

Probably fire them all and start over. You only have to be a favorite to be a manager anyway but as I said before you end up brining in more imcome as a server haha.
