    Pros

Great to work with quality focused, truly patient-centric organizations... from early development to global clinical research to medical affairs. Transformational mid- management and senior leaders are emerging and in place.

    Cons

Research, science and medical is central to Celgene, our patients deserve our best. Some are losing focus...

    Advice to Management

Heed advise and counsel of your management with clinical - scientific research experience. Celgene should not be MBA types proving ground.

Nice place to work. Diverse and an all inclusive culture. You get to set your daily hours 8-4, 7-3 etc. Enjoyed the two days per week work from home.

I worked at Celgene full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great health benefits. Laid back atmosphere and good pay. Some employee incentives including stock options. Good mixture of work / home balance.

    Cons

Lots of upper senior management changes. Upper management not aware of processes and workloads. The different sites do not operate under the same performance standards.

    Advice to Management

Need to ensure management knows how to do all job functions of their employees. Work needs to be distributed evenly.

    Pros

Room to grow with the right guidance and manager's support.

    Cons

Some managers have a way of shutting other people out, and are only interested in bettering themselves, so will make others fail at their job. I've seen it done to others, and myself.

I worked at Celgene full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company has a great set of values that they actually put into practice. The company has a great pipeline if extremely important drug products, so it is a very fulfilling experience. Great pay and benefits, some of the best in the area. Most of the people who work there are dedicated professionals.

    Cons

Management is a mixed bag. There are some excellent managers who are technically competent and good with people, but there are also some very poor managers. Your experience may vary based on who you report to, but that's typical of any company. There tends to be a lot of nepotism.

    Advice to Management

Keep developing your employees, and pass on the questionable management hires of the past.
