Pros
Great company. The help with work life balance.
Cons
No downside to this company. Great place to work.
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Genuinely great people to work with in Manufacturing, great work relationships can be formed amongst Manufacturing Associates.
Cons
High Turnover in key Manufacturing Roles, lack of experienced personnel Management often wastes lots of time in projects that makes the process more time consuming and less safe. Employees are the lowest priority. Burnout happens fast and often. People often backstab other people and put on a show to promote themselves. Heavy politicking and maneuvering at the expense of team cohesion and trust. The entire manufacturing department is just trying to escape to Process Development. Promotion only happens by sucking up to management. If someone in management doesn't like you, you won't go anywhere. Sexism, especially in management. Almost no women in supervisor or manager roles. Much harder to get projects approved as a woman. Non-existent work life balance. Expectation is for you to work more than you should by default. Unfair treatment between day and night shift. Communication between departments is poor, especially between Dexter and JuMP. People leading projects often have little hands on experience with the area they are trying to "improve", leading to processes being made harder and less safe for the patient. Manufacturing personal are often treated like second class employees. Other departments dismiss manufacturing associates out of hand. Too many people brainstorming on projects, not enough people executing. Management will not hesitate to outright lie to keep employees in line. Lack of learning opportunities, fails to promote mentorship, only expect the role you signed up for. Culture clash between GMP as written versus GMP as intended. Throwing yourself on the sword is expected, but never recognized.

Pros
Exciting novel cell therapy experience. Exposure to multiple platforms and processes (manufacturing, analytical, raw materials,etc.). Fun work functions and lunches to make up for constantly working ridiculous hours.
Cons
The changes across the mergers (Juno to Celgene to BMS) that would impact employee’s career progression were very poorly communicated even at the managerial level. Everything is treated like an emergency; leads to rushed work that ultimately isn’t necessary or has to be repeated. Poor work life balance.
