    Positive Outlook

    Pros

The team is supportive, good work/life balance, the team is small enough that everyone gets to do some interesting projects, and everyone gets some varied responsibilities. Most clients are pleasant and patient, and many are on campus. The team is casually inclusive, and already includes women, minorities and people with disabilities, clients actively support employing disabled clients. The park is an obvious plus during warmer months.

To hit the usual tech questions- There is some WFH and reasonable schedule flexibility. There is employer assistance with training and testing. They prefer on the job training to paying for boot camps. Turnover is low. The benefits are solid, health benefits and retirement plan with matching.

    Cons

nonprofit pay, some driving, limited time off during the first 6 months, keeping track of the systems of multiple agencies adds some complexity. There are documentation silos, though they're accessible to all. There is a culture of carrying the cell phone on days off.

    Advice to Management

The new CEO has been working on growth and team communication, both of which are necessary.
Cross training teams on documentation silos might lead to less siloing. Consistent use of chat clients might enable more efficient meetings and better day to day cross site communications.

I have been working at Center Information Services full-time

    Pros

Interesting variety of work, not just sitting at a desk all day
    Decent benefits
Most of the staff is good to work with
    Customers are generally nice
    Some flexibility with hours

    Cons

Top-heavy - a lot of management, not enough workers
    Management is becoming increasingly dysfunctional
    Pay is low
Focused on growing and not serving the current customer base.
    Very little training offered.

    Advice to Management

Reduce the size of the management team, add more staff, offer better pay to attract top talent, focus more on taking care of current customers.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Center Information Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible work schedule, customers and internal employees are nice to work with, ok work environment

    Cons

Very low rate of pay, no room for advancement, director is very heavy handed, and does not seem to have a vested interest in the company. The company has lost multiple existing customers, and multiple business opportunities due to unwillingness to negotiate.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more, provide more training to encourage professional growth within the company.
