    You're surrounded by some of the world's best researchers and communicators. Lots of room for growth. Great training and seminars.

    Cons

    Very competitive, many folks dislike you for absolutely no reason. There's an air of racism there as well.

    The work that CDC does around the world saves millions of lives. The cadre of experts that make up the worldwide team is astounding. Working at CDC is an honor and one of the best opportunities a person can have.

    Cons

    Demanding because you are dealing with emergencies disasters and response. There is a lot of investment in time and can be stressful due to the nature of the work.
