I have been working at Central Computer Systems part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get good experience with numerous different jobs. You can obtain a lot of information on computer hardware and software.

    Cons

You get a lot of experience but only because you are forced to do so. Each location seems to be understaffed, so many times a person will have to take on multiple roles. In addition, the workload is heavy and you are expected to complete all tasks.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people, listen to your employees, and stop cutting corners.

I worked at Central Computer Systems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Discounts on stuff, get to see how low profit margins are <- What you put up with is not equal to the pay. Customers expecting technical knowledge.

    Cons

Just like any other retail job, except customers expect you to know technical jargon. If you're a hardware geek, this is awesome...but that awesome feeling goes away after 2-3 months then you're just staring at dumb old customers all day. Supervisors are demanding. If you're making double or triple of a low retail worker, don't order me around, Try being supportive.

    Advice to Management

Treat the lowest on the totem pole the highest, don't have a top to down view of people. You forget that the lowest has to deal with customers.
