I worked at Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great place to work if your scientist is a nice guy. Totally depends on the team you work for. Five day week. Nice locality.

    Cons

Canteen is not that great. I heard some of the scientists make interns work a lot even during the weekends. So know your team well before joining.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

If one's intention is to do research in latest topics in electronics, like, MEMS, Image Processing and Signal Processing, Agro Electronics, Electromagnetism etc., then CEERI offers good opportunity to work, if one is self motivated.

    Cons

Self motivation is an important factor in such kind of a job. And it has to be maintained through out one's tenure in this place. If one gets off track then productivity obviously decreases. And chances of such a scenario are high in this company

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good place to do research with unlimited funds.
The environment is filled with people with topnotch scientists.
There are good labs to work and design.

    Cons

The place is far away from big city(6hr by bus),so if one wants to buy any material for project they have to go a long way.
As it is a govt. institution people are lazy and they extend the projects for years together.

    Advice to Management

Apart from scientists the quality of junior scientists is not good, some of them lack basic knowledge of electronics.
