I have been working at Central Florida Health full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The staff in each department seem to get along well, others are willing to help and answer questions, especially for new nurses.

    Cons

The pay is on the lower end for the area, the ED staff ratios are 5:1 which can be dangerous, and their attendance policies leave no room for those with any family. 6 occurences (which can include; being late, leaving sick, or calling out) in one year result in termination.

I worked at Central Florida Health full-time

    Pros

Cafeteria food was the best part of working there. A couple nice coworkers. PTO wasn’t bad though no paid holidays.

    Cons

Management is good at hiding their mistakes by shifting blame. Retaliation is an issue & used to get them off the hook for poor decisions. Almost no guidance or training provided to new hires. Poor industry practices. Most of all they do not care about their employees. No focus on employee engagement, work life balance, or professional development. Gossip rampant and professionalism lacking. Would not recommend.

I worked at Central Florida Health

    Pros

Management is so disengaged you can practically define your own role. The detachment is so pronounced that the lack of micromanaging is nice, but it comes at the cost of actual management of any sort.

    Cons

This place is a complete cluster. Chaos rules here and there are zero policies/procedures. The culture is toxic and employees complain about the lack of direction daily. This company is more about who you know and differences/dissension is not tolerated.
