I have been working at Central Florida Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

An aggressive forward thinking Admin, in a very competitive area, patient care is a very front and center focus. Very experienced staff with a longevity.

    Cons

Sometimes the financials can impede on patient care. I would like to see an increased amount of pto, and to have more competitive salaries across the board.

    Advice to Management

Admin. needs to stay in touch with the front line team members.

I have been working at Central Florida Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Free walk in Urgent care

    Cons

Low staff, no appreciation, horrible management

    Advice to Management

If you are understaffed don't take a vacation before trying to find people to work on your floor a CNA should never have more than 18 patients at a hospital.

I worked at Central Florida Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pretty hospital in the villages. The people are nice. They give u a free ham for the holiday. Dress code is casual. Discounts at urgent care.

    Cons

In the event of a natural disaster i.e. hurricane they require employees to use PTO when they can't make it to work. Also, requires you to use pto for national holidays. Closes the offices for non-essential staff from Dec 25 until after Jan 1. Making staff use pto. The executives are overpaid underworked.

    Advice to Management

Treat staff as you would treat yourself.

I have been working at Central Florida Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits. Good 401k. I cant think of 20 words to describes the pros of working for this company.

    Cons

Staffing is horrible, youre bombarded with admissions, you get no report from the ER on your patients, you get a fax with hardly any information on it. Staff are rude and some are bullies. Attendance policy is almost impossible to adhere too. 7 call offs a rolling calender year, and it doesnt matter why you cant go to work. Hospitalized? Counts as a call off. In a car accident? Counts as a call off. I could go on and on.

    Advice to Management

Staff better, stop over working your nurses. Back up your nurses. Get rid of rude and lazy staff members. Pay better.

I have been working at Central Florida Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

My peers are nice and work together as a family, the benefits are satisfactory,

    Cons

The administration is only concerned over the numbers that benefit them. We are severely understaffed for patient care, have too many administration positions, no one listens to the cries of the nurses who need more help to better care for the patient's needs and safety. If the administration will realize we need more staff which will result in better patient care and long term increased scores.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the nurses and the CNA' s who actually work directly with the patients. Cutting staff and not continuing bonuses for those who are willing to work extra time, is causing you to lose GOOD employees by the handfuls. Hiring nurses from Puerto Rico is NOT the answer!!

I worked at Central Florida Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Most of staff workers are kind

    Cons

While working at this facility, I posted an ANONYMOUS negative review. The following day I was fired and refused a reason why. 2 days after that, my ANONYMOUS post has miraculously "disappeared" from this site. I hope people will beware of this extremely corrupt company! No one deserves to be treated this way!!!

    Advice to Management

I worked at Central Florida Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free care at the hospital's Urgent Care (but a $250 co-pay to be seen in the ER)

    Cons

Disconnected, uninterested management, atrociously low yearly raises (which you are excluded from if you have had even a minor infraction), unsympathetic and unsupportive HR department, managers known for blocking transfer requests. Very high turnover in all departments both clinical and administrative. Insulated, self-serving directors and upper-level administrators result in a toxic culture all the way to the top on down. Virtually no advancement opportunities. No recognition for going the extra mile other than the occasional pizza. Woowoo! Morale is perpetually in the negative everywhere you turn.

    Advice to Management

Get out of your six-figure, fat bonused ivory towers once in awhile and spend some time getting stressed out and dirty in the trenches with the real people who keep this place running.
